Here's a calculator for 1/4 mile times. not sure how accurate it is but I think it is pretty close. conversion is 2.205lbs = 1 kg

so a skyline being 1390kg is 3064lbs

These calculators are quite useless.....wait..... they are good for starting useless debates and arguments.

If you are serious about drag racing the information needs to be collected at the track, the actual track you want to race on and do well.

Whats the KW - HP ratio? I've forgotten? My old 32 GTR made 303RWKW last time I raced it, and it ran 11.135 @ 128mph. Isn't that about 430 rwhp? The calc said I needed 491 rwhp? Am I just a hell of a driver or what????!!!!! ;)

406.02hp - lets say you lose that much through the drivetrain - your calc isnt that bad.

Forgot to add that most calculators are at the engine. Most BASIC 1/4 mile calculators that use rwhp assume a % drivetrain loss which is a really bad thing.

??? It states: "This calculator esitmates your quarter mile elapsed time (ET) when given the weight of the car and flywheel or wheel horsepower. A 17% driveline loss is assumed for flywheel HP."

1 hp is 0.74569 kw

so according to the calc...I could do a 10.6 with 500rwhp!!!! Now just have to find 500rwhp from somewhere :)

Just a note: You dont lose a fixed % through the drivetrain in ANY circumstance. The same drivetrain will lose say, 80hp with a 300hp engine as it will lose 80hp with a 500hp engine.

You don't magically get a drivetrain that eats more energy from the process.

So while 17% might work for your car NOW, if you increase the power from your engine by 200hp, the 17% wont apply.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
