Hay people I lost my licences on 4/10/05 for doing 117kph in a 60kph zone yer i was goin a bit to fast and i had to go to cort. The judge gave me 6 months loss of licences and $500 fine i got off lucky :(

The cop that pulled me over for the speed i was doing said i was looking at 2 years loss of licences and $2000 fine so i was a happy man when i was told 6 months and $500 fine :)

Now that i have my licences back i think twice about speeding as i dont wont to be going every were on the pushy agane but since i lost my licences i found out who my rell mates were.

I wood just like to let people no that i am not bragging and that i wish to hear about other peoples experiences...

Edited by gts-t 4 life

yeah i got a few friends like that, u only get txt msgs on thursday afternoons asking what ur doing tongiht, and then wanting lifts to partys and shit,,,, i hate be the sensable driver

lol there are alot of them out there

Just most dont put out...

Anyway. Technically I have lost it twice (depends on interpritation). But I have legally always been allowed to drive. 'Lost' it went on probation, lost that, court, was allowed to finish probation. Now been on opens for almost 2 years, and havent been pulled over for quite some time now.

When I was on probation, especially the 2 months after the court hearing, my mates really helped me out. I always drove to their place (ie the safe drive) and then we went wherever from there, I chipped in for fuel etc. Had I kept driving Im sure I would have made one small mistake like forgetting to indicate once or something and lost it. After that we went back to normal sharing the driving around.

Sad when people stop talking to you tho.

I have lost it once...

13kph over an a U turn at unmarked intersection...

I opted to take the 3 month suspension and get full points back at the end of it... Better than getting 1 year good behaviour and losing it for 6 months... I started my opens now as of a few days ago :(

Dave.

I don't know you personally but maybe they stopped hanging around you because you obviously had a brain fade and was stupid enough to do effectively twice the legal speed limit. I had a friend in high school who lost his licence at much the same speed, Lost contact with him but found out two years later that he got his licence back and was speeding to work, lost control, killed his girl friend and made him the proud owner of a new set of wheels = a wheelchair

Not trying to be an arsehole but i hope for you sake you learnt your lesson

Yes i do not speed these days i do not wont to loze my licences agane and when i did speed i wood make shore it was only me in ther car becouse if i had some one in the car and killed them i cod never forgive myself. Sad to here about your mate but stuped things happen when u do stuped stuff like speed.

Mate, like a lot of people i'm sure, i've done more stupid things than i'd like to admit! And I certainly enjoy the odd spirited drive and lets face it thats why we bouhgt the car we did.

I Honestly wasn't trying to be an arse hole and tell you off (me of all people, huh!). My experience is an extreme one but not uncommon and even with just you driving, you never know whos kid could run out or more importantly to you, the greater skyline community and certainly anyone who cares about you, the damage you could do to your self. so have your fun but maybe within a reasonable range or even better go do some track days.

BTW. I've got an R32 as well and your car looks sweet.

you're a tool

Good to see another intelligant comment from the brains trust! Daaahhhh, Loser!

I'm sorry if the "OPEN" forum for people to express their "OPINIONS" got a little mature for you!

"Fully sick effort mate, good to see ya got ya licence back. stupid police". Suppose that's what you'd rather hear.

I would have thought that some one with a online name "paladin" would have stood up for a more noble cause!

Dude. Yes what you did was very silly. And yes we all do silly things in stooopid places. So learning a lesson is the important thing, NOT doing it in the first place is best lesson.

To apply an appropriate comment to your original post, I, for one, have lost my licence before for speeding. I wont say what speed it was, but worse than you. I surely learnt my lesson and know that I wont be doing that anytime soon.

Since then, I havent been pulled up for anything. Seriously, you have to be acting like a wanker in your car to get hassled.

Well, hope you dont feel alone now, haha.

    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
    • Does that German restaurant still exist in the old place out the NW end of Goulburn? When I say "out the NW end of"...I am really being vague. It was 1997 when I was last there, and the only point of reference I can recall is that it was on the opposite side of the main drag from the big merino. And when I say "opposite side of the main drag", I don't mean "on the main drag". It was either a couple of streets back from there, or might have even been out in the sticks a bit further. Was an old farm building or mill or somesuch. And when I say "the big merino" I might actually be thinking of a completely different part of town, because I just looked on maps and the big bugger is not where I remembered him to be! The food was good, consisting largely of various German mystery-meat sausage/loaf things and kartofflen.
    • So while the second sentence is completely correct and the whole point of the conversation, the first sentence bears consideration. If this bloke is just hoping to throw big turbos on and drive it around, because there are no helpful facilities at all in his tropical paradise** then he likely has zero chance of even knowing what the TP is on the last column in the stock maps, let alone know whether the ECU is operating anywhere near it or past it. So the point is very very moot. And, per what I said before, at stock boost on those turbos, you may well be off the end of the map. **I'm just back from Vanuatu, so I know exactly what small Pacific nations can be like wrt paradise without requisite facilities. But it's not even that simple. I put a high flow on my car and had to drive it around without a proper tune because of the lack of opportunity*** to put the bigger AFM and injectors into it to allow it to be tuned. I had to turn the boost down to less than I had before, and back off the boost controller's ramp, because it was exploring parts of the map that it didn't drive in before, and really couldn't access for tuning on the dyno either, and so was pinging. It was still well within the last column, because when I first**** set up the Nistune on the Neo I rescaled all axes of the maps to give some more space to explore. ***Family dyno was broken ****This was 13 years ago, and the TIM thing wasn't a thing then and so TP would definitely grow when pushing past the stock tune's limits.
