Right.

1. I grew up in Frankston. It is a hole. That said, parking your car anywhere is a risk - be wary, don't leave anything valuable in it, get an alarm and make sure you are insured - as shi*t happens. As an example, my GT-R was basically stripped in my driveway in South Yarra a few years ago. It's a nice part of town - I wasn't pleased.

2. Al, you are 6-foot? Hahaha - shortass :(

3. Ash, You can take the man out of the west... but you can never take the west out of the man.

Don't get your panties in too bigger bunch - it's a shithole, sure - but more of a cultural shithole than anything else. Lots of young families down that way. You'll be fine :(

Just avoid 'The Pines' and 'Skye' and shopping centres.

^^^ What he said.

And Frankston isn't that bad nowdays with more Skylines being driven around so you should be fine!

Hey not all suburbs of the west are bad.

I live in hoppers and have never had anything happen to my car.

For christsake the guy who had the car before me put a gtr badge on it i think that badge stayed on few a few months before i ripped it off but noone walking around the streets bothered to take it off for me.

Ive left it in shopping carparks and it lives on the front lawn and not once have i gone outside to find anything missing off my car or returned from shopping and had dints or scratches.

Some parts of werribee can be pretty feral but thats the same for every suburb of melbourne wether it be one in the north, south, east or west.

Viper or Mongoose? Which should I go for? Price-wise and quality-wise.

The car came with Mongoose and Im happy with it...

It works with my dual stage turbo timer meaning I can leave the car running and arm it as I walk off.

Does anyone have details on how much these alarm systems would cost?

Or perhaps a website of any accessory shops which actually shows me what they offer and the price for them, unlike Autobarn where I can just see the items and just left not knowing the prices.

:w00t:

Seriously some of you people have no idea..

If Melbs S.E beachside suburbs are such a concern maybe you're not suited to living down here.. Perhaps Sydney's Nth shore would be more suitable, where men with handbags don't rate a second glance.

Anyone that believes that Frankston is half as bad as that slanderous moron on TV has spent the past 10yrs making it out to be (all to get a rise out of Brereton) is suffering from the same mental deficiencies as Newman himself. To compare Frankston to Dandenong or Springvale??

Frankston has a class divide like a lot of coastal areas, we have multi-million dollar bayside homes in the sth and the old ex-commission area in the nth. You can't categorise this CITY as just a "working class suburb" unless of course your a paid clown in the media with a penchant for handbags and plastic surgery.

I dunno...maybe it's true and the youth of today really do have "hearts like rabbits" trembling with fear.. stabbing blindly at whatever bumps into you in the shadows and darkness!!

Frankston is notorious for serial killers... too many wierd ass dumb f**ks inbred there :D

Yep we had one...he wasn't very good at his job though, got caught fairly easily.

Now why don't you piss off back to Moe, Morwell or whatever other outpost of Tasmanian immigrants you've escaped from :P

lol you need to revise your geography knowledge seeing as im from Essendon ;)

And there was MORE than one serial killer...

And there was MORE than one serial killer...

Do tell, we all know of Paul Denyer, the fat kid used to pump petrol for me weekly @ Langwarrin service station (did I push him over the edge? we'll never know ;) ). I can't recall any other "serial killers" known to the area, killers yeah... but actual serial killers?

Have I forgotten something? Interesting.

Parking on the street is always a risk no matter where you are.

But if you have no choice, keep your mods as stealth as possible, quick release steering wheel, well hidden kill switch, top quality alarm, park with your wheels full lock towards the gutter, get full comp, and if you can be fcuked unplug afm.

I have seen that one but its not the one I was thinking of. I see a couple of red ones regularly and both have standard plates. One on White St and the other on Governer Rd normally. I have seen a silver one on Greens Rd with R31 club stickers on, is that yours?

nah, no stickers, i have a sau one on the 1/4 glass, and the sau "S" on the rear.

what time do you hang around them roads (what car are you in)

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
    • The maxpeedingrods turbo is cheap and bolts on to stock parts. I think you just need a bigger silicone coupler for the intake. Its a cheap china turbo, but it's been running on mine for almost 3 years at 16-19 psi.
