hey guys, anyone interested in a group buy for vented fibreglass bonnets for either the R32 or R33 or R34? only 5 or more of each at a time unless i can get 5 R32 ppl and 5 R33 ppl etc but 5 is the minimum.

these bonnets are 3-4x lighter then standard metal bonnets so you are shaving alot of weight there.

i need 5 people & pick up in sydney is allowed or extra for delivery anywhere in aus. ill have a definate price tomorow of the total cost per bonnet for 5 people. a $200 deposit is required to hold your spot and to get things moving. if possible i need everything done by late this week and maybe i can stretch it to next friday. it will take around 3 months or so to get it moulded, copied, made, prepped and sent back here.

tell me which one you most prefer and unforunately all 5 have to be the same style vent!

these are the vents available - i can possibly add little vents in like the R34 GTR VSPEC NUR on the passenger side - tell me what you guys would prefer and that will determine the total price (ranging from $470-$550) and final outcome of the bonnet. so out of the 5 people, decide which vent you guys want and how you's would want the bonnet to look.

Start date whenever and end date is 3-4months from the day i get them sent off. will give a definate date when i get everything ready (meaning if i get all the bonnets and ppl organised)

I can also get cheap discount prices on large quantitys bought on body kits. (a group buy on skyline kits is possible?)

if someone is willing to donate their bonnet, ill work out a discounted price for them and some sort of cash arrangement :worship:

this thread will be updated reguarly with progress and pics (if possible) of the bonnets.

my number is 0424723200 and i can be contacted on that or here via pm. :PBJ:

Only 2 pics shown dude....

Are they street legal? How safe are they at speed?

Im guessing it does not include matching req paint colour?

yes it will require paint dude.

it is required you get bonnet pins anyway for extra saftey.

theres only two pics but thats because its the main vent, as i said i can add a little vent in like the NUR SPEC GTR R34 :ban:

Nothing for R34?

i can get R34 if you find me 5 people who would be interested in it.

I think he wants to see a R34 bonnet pic... so do I :D

Will the price be any different if I want just a standard bonnet in Fibreglass? No vents... I have plans of my own :O

styles are what i have above.

can do standard bonnets but i need to find a r34 bonnet. how much do they cost alone anyway?

satanic - find me 5 ppl including yourself and ill do the r34 bonnet in plain fibreglass.

i dont think it will affect price either way. depends how much the bonnet will cost outright.

can someone pm stan we only need one more for a r34vented bonnet i like the first one so its stan,me wogboy, lithus and one more i would donate my bonnet depending on how long it would take?

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
