Awesome..

I'm in. It will be good to play with some ppls keen on actually kicking the others teams arse instead of simply joyriding the planes and helli's. :teehee:

I also have the SF expansion. :yucky:

I've only recently started playing so I am a bit of a Noob but getting much better rather quickly.

I'm not a plane or helli joyrider, I much prefer spawning on the team leader and kicking some arse. :yucky:

Alias is......

Sgt.Cubes

MadGt4, Im not a sniper fan, in fact I shy away from being a sniper, I find that sort of gameplay boring, I need to be in the thick of the action with my knife LOL

But I must admit Ive grabbed dead ppl's 3rd sniper gun before and it feels very light as such. Anyone got the 3rd Engineer gun? Would like to try that, but noone uses engineer!

Im keen for a battle on the 21st, so count me in for sure.

cheers.

My BF2 Clan has a server you guys could use for this,

It's currently set at 20 Players, but we could up it for a single war if required.

that is very hospitible .. ty .. only 1 problem can the server handle the xtra bandwidth more players would use ... no 1 wants a lag fest

Deff Sniper!

But thats my personal choice. 3rd Snipe Rifle RULES!

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm

On another Note as my new computer is still approx a week away AND i can't find a copy of Battlefield 2 ANYWHERE i may have to use my other comp which i don't wanna do!

I really wanna max everything out on the new 20" WS!

So how about not this w/e but the w/e after that?

why dont u just use ur orriginal copy of BF2 to run on ur NEW comp and buy a new copy of BF2 later for when ur mates come over and u want to lan it up in the same server hence needing the 2nd CD key

i will be in hardly play BF2 any more seems that every1 is a whore @ sumthing in that game

same as tangles i will be ready to play after 7:30 when i put my daughter to bed

we should try and organise a vents for that night too imo most u guys are familular with voice comms

^^^^^^^^^^

I would use my original copy but the computer its running on is still "new" in a sense and its the family comp.

So my youger bro will be joining in most likely when we play.

So yeah 1 copy on 2 machines at the same time is a no go.

I'll put up a list later tonight of people who are interested/confirmed.

I'll lso send out a PM.

back in your box Joel :( .... yes, I actually will admit that I suck at BF2 .... but am keen to play in a true team environment - when I play on Node it really is every man for himself, so is much less fun and organised.

Agreed, it is every man for himself and almost NO team work.

Allthough when you do get a good side its so easy to kick arse.

Its awesome when all the medics, ammo support work together and you literally blitz the other side with only a handfull of men spawning on the team leader instead of spawning else where in order to have a joyride in the helli or jet. :(

Just so you guys know,

Our clan is looking for some more BF2 Players if anyone is interested (We work as a team)

The server is up anytime between now and the specified date if you want to jump in.

I will post the IP latter (No Password, we password the server when we have scrims etc on it)

Yeah team work is now helping me achive roughly a 60-70 point round each time i jump on now.

Normally its just me and a mate getting those scores working off each other, he's the medic and i ran in rambo style and not worry cause he will revive me, so we both win with points!

But yeah it is awesome when you blitz the other side, althought i'm good and doing that i hate being pwn3d myself haha, i'm a sore e-looser

lol rnt we all @ sore e-loosers

Yeah, We tend to not go there unless we are practising or scriming.

The pings don't get much higher then that, Most I have seen them at is about 130 for a WA player.

SA Players should find it still reasonably quick.

I will be home in about 1 hour, will be happy to jump on quickly with you then >_<

    • After my last update, I went ahead with cleaning and restoring the entire fuel system. This included removing the tank and cleaning it with the Beyond Balistics solution, power washing it multiple times, drying it thoroughly, rinsing with IPA, drying again with heat gun and compressed air. Also, cleaning out the lines, fuel rail, and replacing the fuel pump with an OEM-style one. During the cleaning process, I replaced several hoses - including the breather hose on the fuel tank, which turned out to be the cause of the earlier fuel leak. This is what the old fuel filter looked like: Fuel tank before cleaning: Dirty Fuel Tank.mp4   Fuel tank after cleaning (some staining remains): Clean Fuel Tank.mp4 Both the OEM 270cc and new DeatschWerks 550cc injectors were cleaned professionally by a shop. Before reassembling everything, I tested the fuel flow by running the pump output into a container at the fuel filter location - flow looked good. I then fitted the new fuel filter and reassembled the rest of the system. Fuel Flow Test.mp4 Test 1 - 550cc injectors Ran the new fuel pump with its supplied diagonal strainer (different from OEM’s flat strainer) and my 550cc injectors using the same resized-injector map I had successfully used before. At first, it idled roughly and stalled when I applied throttle. Checked the spark plugs and found that they were fouled with carbon (likely from the earlier overly rich running when the injectors were clogged). After cleaning the plugs, the car started fine. However, it would only idle for 30–60 seconds before stalling, and while driving it would feel like a “fuel cut” after a few seconds - though it wouldn’t fully stall. Test 2 – Strainer swap Suspecting the diagonal strainer might not be reaching the tank bottom, I swapped it for the original flat strainer and filled the tank with ~45L of fuel. The issue persisted exactly the same. Test 3 – OEM injectors To eliminate tuning variables, I reinstalled the OEM 270cc injectors and reverted to the original map. Cleaned the spark plugs again just in-case. The stalling and “fuel cut” still remained.   At this stage, I suspect an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, caused during the cleaning process. This has led me to look into getting Frenchy’s fuel hanger and replacing the unit entirely. TL;DR: Cleaned and restored the fuel system (tank, lines, rail, pump). Tested 550cc injectors with the same resized-injector map as before, but the car stalls at idle and experiences what feels like “fuel cut” after a few seconds of driving. Swapped back to OEM injectors with original map to rule out tuning, but the issue persists. Now suspecting an intermittent power or connection fault at the fuel pump hanger, possibly cause by the cleaning process.
    • For race cars, this is one part where I find having the roll cage bar having gone through a hole in the floor better than the build it up on a ledge inside... The Merc I help on, the main hoop ends are marked on the car, and the jack is marked... Jack goes under a few inches and lifts one whole side of the car up... Removes that fight for long slim jacks for race car duties!   My biggest issue for the daily drivers I work on, is my jacks don't go high enough. The jacks start out on a few blocks, jack it up, then start a second jack under it on more blocks, and then I can get an axle stand under it. My axle stands are presently in use, and are nearly fully extended. The car is sitting with barely more than a cm of clearance to get the wheel off the studs! Sarah's Kluger is the same, as it has an ungodly amount of droop available in the suspension and a distinct lack of good jacking points!
    • Happy? Yep, my to do list is getting shorter and shorter. Either this light approaching is the end of the tunnel, or I'm about to be hit by a train... Ha ha ha   Also, Duncan isn't that far out of town that you need to make a multi day drive out of it. 😛
    • Sorry I meant that we are building the EH for a client.
