Have a read of the post on australian escorts, it's a pisser! I'm sure we'd all like to give people like this more than just the strap-on treatment.

Good luck with the search, hope he gets all that's coming to him.

Hate to say I told you so! Remember a few months back Redback, when I was telling you that Skyline Steve was selling your shell, and you wouldn't believe me. Even when I gave you the VIN and engine numbers after looking at it? This was MONTHS back, yet you wouldn't hear a word against Steve. You even disputed the facts I gave you, with bullshit naively digested by you from Steve. Good luck getting the car back now. I tried helping you then, when it was blatantly obvious you were getting conned, but sadly it took you this long to click.

i've seen your car in person when he was selling it as a shell. and he did live in melton also. i'm sure that has changed by now though. the car was also in his backyard there too.

this guy is definately scum... i know of another 2 people he has scammed also. redback i guess you're going to take this as an expensive lesson, be more cautious. you should have listened to mikymouse also.

As member of vic pol I would love to help. If investigator not updating you on state of investigation PM me so I can contact them on your behalf and try to find out what is going on. Obviously this man is known to police as stated earlier warrants on him. I can't confrim that but if so he will be arrested on site when checked. Obiviously all avenues to track him down would be looked into. With regarding your car your shell Vin/Chassis number would be recorded as stolen so if police or Vic Roads come in contact with it you will be informed and returned to you same with engine. In relation to your modifications though it would be very unlikely to get them back unless located under search warrant at address where offender is. If stripped and sold almost impossible to track down as no recored id numbers as such. Good luck with it all.

jeez man, if it was me that got ripped off, id be out hunting this fool down. It reminds me of this guy that i used to know, he used women for sex and money, used my friends for money - terrible - these people should be locked up

bad luck mate, i know wot its like, not to ur degree but i had my immac r33 stolen from my driveway/carport, uninsured etc ... hurts

but meh in the end its a car ...

rather have that gone than friend/family

man thats total gheyness.....I only see this shit on Today Tonight....in the end ur probably screwed...but its only money...and altough it sucks life will get better ....

I got a mate I studied some post-grad stuff with a few years back. He got conned by this hot chick...and she was hot...I told him there was something dodgy going down when she reckoons she had this "awsome investment" some mates of his got together 200k for this chick who then just fled the country with his money...OMFG! he's till paying the price...

sorry bit off topic. as with anyone else. U find him - we r there...

KJ

if his got and add on fire sport just call the number on thier 0405416055<<<<< just get your mates to call who he donts know make him come to a dead end st or place get your mate to start talking to him then just run up with a baseball bat start smahing the f*k out off him then ask for your car back if he says no just keep smashing him in then if he gets ko put him in the boot drive car off dadny cliffs. or take him back to your place for some um painfull tell me were my car is now talk :P

Mate if u need and help, just PM Me, i can get about 4 guys who will beat the living f**K out of him.

Also i reccomend u find out where he lives or his shop is, break in, raid and take evrything, then break everything u dont take.

This is the worst shit ever. And i thought i was in the shit coz some1 stole my intercooler core.

Which reminds me, if any1 hears/sees any private person selling a Hybrid style (purchased from gktech) intercooler and u suspect it may be stolen, plz contact me ASAP. There will be a reward for any1 that leads me to the thief.

did they steal it while it was on your car... ?

Taso & others, with comments like you have all made.

I'd strongly suggest you grow up.

Otherwise we wont see your accounts around here for much longer

cheers

Not being immature mate, i just really hate ppl who steal things u've earned with ur own hard work.

Sometimes u gotta take the law into ur own hands when the police don't do nething.

And if u ban me that is really soft coz I was only suggesting

    • Did this end up working? Did you take some pictures?
    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
