I had nearly dry tank today and went to fill up a full tank at this BP servo... I figured it could easily take in about 60 litres... it came up to about 46 and then the petrol spilled onto my car and my runners (f**k i hate when that happens)... are u all sure it has 65? Or can the needle go past the lowest mark and still drive for another 5-10 litres?

To add more shit to the story the guy at this servo seems to have a pole up his ass, he called me a "water waster" for spraying the water onto my car to remove petrol stains saying "it wont do anything", then had a go at me for not using my credit card properly... really rude asshole to tell u the truth... I mean he was aussie and not some indian guy who usually man these servos... i can see the "fun" in working late night hours in that shit hole... but seriously he looks like he needs to find another job...excuse my rant..

By the way its the BP on Bell St Pascoe Vale...across from Maccas.

DUDE same here..

Everyone tells me thats its a 60L tank or something..

Must be a s2 thing maybe?? smaller tank=less weight.. ahahah..

I havnt filled up past 50ls in ages, due to prices..

But i remember ages ago, i filled up to about 46ls and i couldnt go any further so i thought i still had about 10ls left, but the guage was nearly empty..

Sorry pplz...my bad.

It is a 60L tank. (GTR -72Ltr)

Which means that i can sqeeze more out of my tank than i thought....Always used to fill 42 odd litres; meaning that i actaully have another 18Lt to go!!!

The weird thing is that my needle reads Empty at that stage...but from what i read up top you can actually go past that!

I've heard that most Skyline fuel gauges are crappy and don't read properly anyway.

Mine won't even register usage untill about 150km's on the odo and is very random in it's readings. Lowest I've let it go was down to 3L remaining. Funny thing was, even at that level I had no light come on.

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
