WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Im in!!!!!

This place is the bomb!!!! $10 steak, choose you cut and cook yourself! Plus copious amounts of beer, and all within 2 mins of my place!!!

All said, everytime it is here, we get a huge turnout, normally 10+, i think a few months ago it was about 20+

Ando

yeah i think we need to start looking at some different places. the whole thing of the monthly dinners was we used to try lots of different establishments in different areas.

You just dont want to be hit up for beers! :D

Yeah, i think at this dinner, the people who attend should pick next months destination, and keep using that rule from now on. But to avoid having another turnout like last month i thought here would be ok

meh. the dinners have gone down hill a bit sadly maybe that's why i'm being a weener and moaning.

12 months or more ago and the dinners were great. always a good turnout. we had lots of people suggesting good places. always a few beers. most of the old crew have stopped going and now not many people show up.

still i will probably come. i'll do like most people do these days and say that i'm coming, but reserve the right to not show at the last minute :D :D

haha, i am a bitching old prick.

Yeah I agree :D

The whole "lets try different places" thing has gone down the drain. I could have sworn that we were at Great Northern not 2-3 months ago. Everytime we can't decide where to go, we always seem to just revert back to Great Northern or Orchid Thai. WHERE'S THE SENSE OF ADVENTURE??? They're both great venues, but I would prefer to try somewhere new each month.

Having said that, none of us have gotten up off our asses to organise anything different, so props to Steve for keeping this monthly dinner tradition alive :D

Yeah i agree with everyone... variety would be great but it has done a little down hill lately with attendance.....

These regular places, as already seen, always gets the #'s together..... :D

As for Joy's well i do believe she offered herself for a seafood buffet..................... :D

The reason a few of us have gone a little off the monthly dinners is the number of people that regularly say they are "in" but never show up. Anyone that doesnt intend to come along, shouldnt post in the thread.

And echoing Merli's post, good work to you Steve for starting the thread :D

As a side idea, we havent done Mexican or Teppanyaki for a while :D

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
