Hehe :P Hey Brad you could drive it! You've got the credentials.

Naaa if John is a nanna'/soft **** driver then I must be somewhere about the level of a great great great nanna!

Well I thrashed 6 new Porsches last Thursday on a Porsche drive day & will be doing the same to a 325,330,M3 SMG,X5,7 series, &

a couple of Cooper S minis tomorrow on the BMW drive day down to Goolwa airport(run by Alan Moffet & Adelaide Motors).

They dont allow weak drivers on these days - so I must be doing something right. While you are all busy working tomorrow spare a

thought for me out on the skid pan in all the new BMWs.

Brad - bring your torry out on the 5th & I'll show you how soft I am.BTW - when was the last time you actually raced your car?

Gates open - 4pm

Racing starts - 5pm

Racing finishes - ~10-10.30pm

Entry fee to compete - $50

Spectators - $17

Don't forget to have - helmet, long sleeve top & pants, licence, pen to fill out entry form, oh & don't forget to bring your car :D

question, are we all planning on having our cars in the same area?? if so where would be a good place?? That way If some of us have stuff we have to take out of our cars while we run we have somewhere to put it. Any ideas, comments??? I also heard it was only 10bucks this week to watch not sure though. Is this alcahol free on not?

Pawley - bring her out and have a go ya big girls blouse .... regardless if it's 'ready' or not, it will set a benchmark for you to improve on.

Matt - I reckon where we parked our cars last time is a good spot .... on the dirt/dead grass area behind the pine trees ..... directly South from the track parallel with the entry gate.

Since they didn't search our cars last time, I assume we can bring what we want. However, if you're driving I'd suggest a 0% alcohol reading would be necessary, should you be tested :P

For anyones info that hasn't been before - it is MUCH better to get there at 4pm on the dot as the later the night gets, the more cars roll in and the longer you have to line up for/wait between runs.

Me drink?? not while im driving. If we get there early enough we may be able to get some space on the grass?? Hope ur going to rum Andrew iven if it means that you have to sleep on the couch when you get home:D

me thinks i'm just gunna be on the look out for some cars that i recognise.

I'll be there bang on 4pm .... does anyone wanna meet up at my place and cruise up together? I am at Northgate. Will leave about 3:40pm. Ring on 0414 904 451

Not very happy with my times but oh well not to bad for my first time out. 14.7, 14.1 & 14.8 I think next time I will use my normal tyres & save the 540s for the road. I hate my 2nd gear on the third run it would not go in. All my mph were between 101 & 106 dont know weather that is any good or not. Bring on the meeting in May

I'm going to wipe all traces from my memory that I even entered the 05Apr03 Off-Street Meet :( 1 run in 5hrs - only to have huge w/spin & miss 2nd gear :(

Congrats John - doesn't make up for my shitty night though :D

On ya Johno ! That getting better. Good work to the Engine tuners etc. Good results there :] What were the 60 fts? MPH etc. List the time it run compared to its last best outing? Ide be interested. Man thats some cranking top speed. Did u even get into top gear? or is the gearing resonable? Go the 9.5 :]

Break out the speed slide rule calculator and see if she will do 180mph. Ha ha Maybe the box could do with shorter gears, diffe gears etc, although more $$$ , gota be happy with that tho.

I didn't stay all night so I missed the 9.50 run ;) I only saw the run where the car died :( Well done on the 9.5 though, great stuff!

I saw your run Matt... was thinking you didn't make it there, but then you appeared... bummmer about the launch :(

Saw Andrew's two or three runs. Good launches from what I could tell... what were your times?

I dunno how the hell you can be expected to to a good launch when you're sitting next to a supercharged monster of a V8 with no exhausts - as if you could hear anything!

    • sold listed as a Tomei LSD 1.5 Way For 1998+ Nissan Skyline ER34 25GT RB25DE w/Open R200 https://www.ebay.com/itm/174006114594?campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms=&campid=5338967980&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&toolid=10050&customid=71883f2ccc571356e0a757bc7adfdde2&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&loc_physical_ms=108689&loc_interest_ms= it went in like butter all gears, alignment, back lash etc, rotation and clearances correct, and if rolling all rotates smooth and free when coasting down road , clutch in or out over 10 mph smooth... its the binding, clunking and jerking from a stop that is most concerning, also seems like its going to tear the tires off in 10 miles of normal road driving.
    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
