Wouldn't we ALL like to know this.

As far as I know there is supposedly only one or two shops in Australia who have it cos it was domestic only.

So far these shops have been conspicous by the lack of any knowledge of who they are.

Cheers

Ken

What's with all the secrecy about this software?

I don't see why Apexi wouldn't want to release it as it makes the Power FC more tunable and therefore more appealing to the consumer.

I found this site http://www.fc-datalogit.co.nz/fc-datalogit.html which allows PC tuning of your Power FC but they only have gtr 33/32...

Gavin Wood Autotech (www.autech.net.au) has all cables and software, its what he uses for all PFC tuning (road + dyno) in conjunction with some autronic A/R meter and spaghetti-junction style cables. You may be able to see it in action in several of the photos on the website if I remember correctly.

FC-Datalogit (www.fc-datalogit.co.nz) claims the need for a special dongle for each model of engine, but with some very minor hax0ring of wires, the same dongle can be used for SR20/RB20/RB25/RB26 and I'm sure several (many?) others.

FC-Datalogit in use at QR Sprints on MELV's gtr:

geez, what sort of crazy thread is this ??

there IS such software available and CRD 1000000% have it!!!! Bel Performance also have it. as already mentioned, all apexi power excel dealers have it.

I have personally got the FC Datalogit software and use it on my STI. I also lend it to several places that use it to tune multiple cars

FACTS

1. All of the 'dongles' are the same for the FC Datalogit. I have PERSONALLY used it on WRX's, GTR's, 200SX's and a GTI-R

2. each model car has a different version of software. i.e. wrx software will ONLY work on a wrx so, you will have to buy the correct software to suit your car

I would be interested in selling my unit complete will software for the cars I have mentioned above for about $650AUD. I dont really use it anymore as my car is fully tuned now.

FYI, the datalogit unit also has launch control. :P and u can log AFR's etc

    • Congrats on the career change!  I did something similar at the start of the year too, left IT / corporate after nearly 2 decades. Soooo when's the motor coming out for the spark plug change?
    • Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!
    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall
