Andy wants to know if anyone wants to help him install his sub next week. He has the entire week off on holidays and is probably the best time to do it.

i would help but

1. i gotta work

2. i dont know anything about installing sub stereos etc lol, so im not really any help now am i! lol

some 1 will be able to im sure.

i had bacterial meningitis in jan 2004

i felt like death and thought i were going to die

never thought i would get meningacocil :(

cought it at hospital just in time though

a lumber puncture with no anesthetic f**king hurts

I know what you mean Aaron, they tried four times to do a lumbar puncture and then realised the needles weren't long enough to reach the spinal fluid!! Four nice, neat holes in my back!! And nothing to show for it!!

Yeah, I was light sensitive for a while but the thing that scared me was not being able to move my head. My neck muscles just locked up and wouldn't work. The other thing was that when I looked from one spot to another, my eyes hurt like hell. Was like they were glued in place and I was tearing them away every time I looked somewhere else.

Hey dave, i hope you are feeling/getting better, that all sound sos horrible :(

I wouldnt have guess mel gibson could actually direct a good movie, i doubt i will see it, I recommend Night at Museum.

Bloody Hell Shane, give it a rest, you take the piss out of everyone's car, parts or results and I have yet to see you in your own vehicle. So some people have "seen" your car, big deal. Was it running?? Did it lay down a quick quarter time?? Does it get good mileage??

You are young, so I have cut you some slack, but enough is enough. Get the unicorn on the road and prove yourself a capable steerer and then maybe you can cut loose on some of us. Until then, shut the fcuk up!!

im just sharing my view of it all, and if i didnt critisise (sp) things, people would go through with things thinking everything is all good, when it coulda been done another way, cheaper and/or better
You do nothing BUT critisise though. Your opinion is not automatically correct. You seem to think your vast years of knowledge have given you the right to tell everyone and anyone how they should build their car. If everyone followed your lead we would all be looking in our yard at our cars instead of driving them.

shane, what everyone is trying to say is. instead of going round saying to people "no your wrong, its this" you should provide an informative opinion. Give people constructive criticism like "hey i know your doing this, but have you thought bout this?" or "this is good, but if you wanna go a step further then maybe try this?" anyone can criticise, its easy, but you have to take a step back. no one likes arguing. we are all here to help each other out and have fun as a collective group of enthusiasts. it seems to be popping up more and more with you shane.

your still young shane, and yes you do know things that others may not, but you have to remember to respect their choices and opinions as you want them to do the same to yours. you cant expect someone to listen to you then you ignore their opinion on the subject.

everyone has a different style of modifying, and they have to find that for themselves, not be told by someone else. if you see something that they MIGHT (i stress that) be doing wrong, give an opinion like "hey, just before you do that, i think it could be this actually. are you sure on it?"

basically, if you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all. you learn in life by making mistakes and everyone is different. you may not agree with what someone is diong, but you dont have to, its their car, so dont stress over it :(

we all joke around here, that is fine, but dont take it all too seriously. this applies to everyone. we're all friends, so lets act like then :D

thats all

yeh, like running and climbing up walls, then jumping off buildings and shit. Search youtube or google video for it, it's mad!

free running is basically a form of dancing in which you interact as much as possible with the environment you are given and then combine it with your style of choice, usually like capoeira or freeform. its open expression

i can give him a hand if he wants, as long as its on the weekend :)

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
