Boxer torque is interesting. Seemingly low numbers feel big.

yup, not sure what the go is, but I like it. Maybe the final torque is lower, but makes more of it earlier?

Deal. :)

I was going to run it in the sprints last time if we didn't have the numbers. We ended up short a week before and I didn't have time for oil changes etc. Happy to do sprints because it's only 6 laps. Drags on the other hand - fuark that!

this is very true

You go out for 6 laps. Come back. Look at times. Work out how you can improve. Go out for another 6.

I doubt that anyone's car here can handle 24 laps consistently at full pelt.

Still can't believe that Bunta called my car a frog mobile. :(

Sure u can I can call my motor a ca18... Doesn't mean I'm right lol

lol, well mines already up to 1916cc from 1154cc....and its mild and totally stock VW block and heads. ive seen them bored and stroked to 3.2 litres

Oh so we're playing the cube game are we :P

That's a fair size overbore, I'm guessing to go to 3.2 litres (which is massive for a 4cylinder) is like ridiculously over size bores, different rods, crank, pistons like the whole thing redone?

I think I can take mine out to 6200cc (383ci) on a stock block, with a resleave I can go all the way out to 427ci (that 7.0L for you imperialites)

427 with a blower. Do it.

I noticed even in the Forrester Vs a Grand Vitara the Forrester feels torquier even though the numbers are nearly the same

If the shoe fits *shrugs shoulders*

Called EFI several times..............goes to message bank :/

Not good, he has what is called 'suicide disease' (Trigeminal neuralgia) in that it hurts so bad you want to kill yourself, sounds fairly bad!

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
