yeh thats tru, i was jst being stupid at the time and left, coz there there was a certain very attractive female in the passenger seat who kept on askin me to leave and against my better judgement i did, i was just angry about the timing of the whole thing, i actually asked RACQ to give me the contact details of the person so i could apologise to them, but they said thats not allowed, so i forwarded a message to the owner through RACQ, apologising and hoping there were no hard feelings, hope i dont have to pay over 400 coz im broke anyway with all this moving house bulls**t then all the money being spent on the GTR.

guess Xbox360 will have to be put on hold.

Should of just slapped a bitch then left a note. That is a lessor arsehole approach than just leaving because you want to get your end wet. :(

Sorry bro, I don't pay that as an excuse. For a car enthusiast to pull that stunt, and THEN complain because they are going to have to miss out on an xbox to pay for damage they caused to someone else's car... :( not cool

something different

Remind me to watch that while I'm high and off my fkn face. It'll make more sense to me. Ken Block is the shit though...dudes got awesome car control and one sick lil homemade track course...

When the baskins thread was created I made sure that funkymonkey told col to stay out of it because it generated life back into this section

News to me Redsun...

Mods don't tell mods what to do... Shan never contacted me, even if he had Shan would not stand in the way if someone needed content modified, deleted or warnings etc...

As for life in a section, SAU is not for profit so section life is not a concern we are not here to increase numbers mods are not the happiness patrol or a cheer squad...

I don't know how else to put it, I'm not trying to be condescending just offering the "straight" truth... It is what it is...

People break the rules they get their content modified, or warned, or banned depending on the circumstance/history...

Its simple, there are a set of rules/guidelines and like any society online or face to face there are rights and responsibilities...

Your online banter with Revhead will get you no where, he simply moderated what was needed to be moderated... He is so easy to get along with and I've never know him to hold grudge with anyone... All I can say in your matter is you catch more bee's with honey than vinegar...

catch way more bees with a net and a smoker though :D

hahah jkz

I'm away for a couple days, heading out west no mobile phone reception, i might find my way on here one night if i can be bothered too. So to everyone here have a great christmas and i'll see you when i get back on monday night!

:)

ps. josh the doctor says your the ghey (cause of the aids thing)

he said your not gay if you give buttsecks but its gay if you take it...

so im in the clear for the ghey bit... not in the clear for the aids... :)

But at least im not ghey i guess... :D

    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
