sounds good

but if u read on teknoscape, there's a lot of crap happening at heat lately, basically to do with poor management, dodgy security, not loud enough music (debatable, council regulations have a lot to do with it), people waiting 2 hrs in line, etc etc... refer to thread "heat nightclub".

i'll be at Heat this Saturday for Infusion Live though, see how it pans out.

sorry about the thread hijack, good luck with the event :D hell, i might even go :)

im gonna give heat a miss until they sort their stuff out :D

what happened not just one incident but many was farked :(

they cant even have the music up that loud.. you can have conversations on the dance floor and stuff :(

i dont see much tech around in perth either.

if tech's anything to go by i'd have to say the names of mauro picotto, carl cox and chris liebing would be worth seeing. picotto at subculture was a ripper last november.

if perth wasnt big in drum and bass imagine how low the recognition for perth's music would get...

If you like chris liebing or carl cox then this is the event for you. And also regards to the sound it has been sorted, as you might have seen from ts and inthemix from last nights event

yeh i was there (@ Heat last night for infusion)

was pretty good, one of the better bang-for-your-buck small-ish event i've been to for a while ;)

sound was good, bouncers were ok, no big line as far as i know... but they didnt open upstairs so it got quite packed around 1.30-3am.

He he he, a guy from work designed that poster and is filming some chick today dancing for the big screen promo...:P

Al will be there :)

yeh sooooooooooo down for parklife :P

that weekend's a killer hey, Godskitchen on the Saturday and Parklife on the Monday (someone say uni?)

GK's just got that gk vibe so dont think i can turn it down (Cosmic Gate, Above and Beyond, Eddie Halliwell and Matt Hardwick fyi)

Parklife's got the lineup i've been itching for (Stanton Warriors :), notables go to Krafty, Farina and Kenobi)

If i was going to Roni Size on Sunday @ Harbourside (i think) i'd be a dead man.

  • 2 weeks later...

heat sucks...... still haven't got their fricken shit sorted..........

gig I was suppose to play at with a mate on friday night has now been cancelled due to double booking!!!!!!!!!! Just when I thought they were starting to get back on track *bahaha fat chance*

Yeah Heat was not a good venue on Saturday night - the bouncers where cockheads and they turned the sound down during the head lining act's set because of a noise complaint. It took the bass out of the music and people just left because of it.

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
