email subjects altered to contain more info, and email contents summarised a lil. I'll let the forum start sending out some emails before I tinker with it more... also might look into the stupid double spacing in the mails.

hmm looks like it didn't work too successfully. back to the drawing board... they seem to change the stupidest little things with each revision of invision.

Try this:

Up the top of the page click on "My Controls", then under "Subscriptions" click on "View Forums", then use the tickbox on the right and then select "Unsubscribe" from the pull down box at the bottom and then click on the "with selected" button.

It's funny because now that the email subject are all the same, the web interface to google mail groups them all in one convo, which really sucks.

Used to be good when the subjects had the thread title in them as then gmail would keep them all together.

Any idea when/if this might be fixed?

as soon as i figure out the new IPB structure. the way the forum is set up with caching there's 4 different scripts that have the same information, and I don't know which one is being accessed... i'll have to sit down properly and nut it out.

Sorry for the delays people.

    • Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there.  Thanks
    • All that matters is you're safe and you were able to type that post. Hopefully heaps of parts you can recover for the next shell.
    • This thread keps giving with the OMG!
    • A quick google, and some E39 users have found pulling my sensor out/apart and cleaning it alleviates their issue. Then get the oil warning to go off, and once it is off (from the sensor saying it was unhappy) some find they can just unplug it and it is happy to just keep going now. Maybe give it a crack? If you can actually pull the sensor apart, hit it with some electrical contact cleaner.
    • Yep. In the E39 it's slightly different than the others. Honestly I'd just leave it but every time I drive the car it tells me oil is low and that just makes me check the dipstick. It is a BMW Afterall and it tries to expel it's own oil regularly.  Thankfully it's not like my E90 that has no dipstick at all so you just gotta trust it.
