I wish everything wa sonly 15 minutes away but the government has been building anew Perth to Mandurah rail link right down the Middle of the Kwinana freeway whilst this doesnt put anymore cars on the road the numerous speed changes from 100 to 60 to 80 to 60 to 100 and so forth seem to confuse people as well as the lane diversions and closures which only sloq us down as Perth drivers seem to have an inability to merge with other traffic. I drive to work in Joondalup in the mornings which is a 50k drive from my house and if I leave early enough it only takes 30 minutes but if I get stiuck in traffic it takes over an hour.

Once the roadworks are done at the beginning of next year though it will all be good

and I am sure anyone who lives north of Perth who has to use the Mitchell freeway to get to work will tell you how bad that is with no roadworks

lol, if i get stuck in traffic in sydney it can sometimes take more than two hours to get where i need to go

If I go the long way, and if I get every red light and if I get stick in traffic............

If all that happened, then it would take me a whole 15mins to drive from one side of Rockhampton to the other

You are lucky to get such a long trip. Prolly even get into OD and even lock it up on a fine day.

Mt. Tamborine is 1min 37secs on a foggy day and dont bother if the weather is fine. Its much better to walk.

How I loooove my retirement.lollollolhahahahaha

PS... It ought to be ESSENTIAL that location is part of registering.???Moderate.

Location is not manditory

And since you cant get 98RON petrol up the top, you have to travell down the goat track to the coomera BP and damn have to go shopping in Beenleigh, means that you have an AwEsOmE! little exciting drive ;) I have 4.3kms of straight with one 90 degree turn in it, and that is about as exciting as it gets in rocky

been started already, but it's quite an old thread. i don't know how many of those people still have stageas

I remember that thread, and I wonder where some of the old members are now...

mcnamg (Glen) is back, but where did madwagon and Jay95R33 go? They were also very instrumental in the early days...

Does anyone else remember any missing members from when we first started posting?

Gary1, he was the previous owner of my stagea, and I dont see any stagea's either, at all.

There is a rumour floating around that there is one in yeppoon (25kms away) but yet to see it or have anyone confirm that yet...

what about DRIFFT or DRIFTT i think it was from perth, he sold his ages ago though and i have spoken to him a few times since. top bloke and very helpful ;)

saft from NZ doesnt post on here very often either but he is a wealth of good info on going fast in a stagea as his dads one ran a high 11 ages ago in a rb26 rs four.

thats about all i can think of.

Nick,

As you probably remember madwagon wrote his stagea off most likely he got something else with the insurance money and is on another forum talking about his new ride.

    • (it is a brand new ported mellings pump) I suspect the lack of pressure is due to the leak. It was *not* that low in other logs of oil pressure in the past. It wasn't that hot either, but not far off.
    • Would a Mellings oil pump be a viable option  From my time with a LS, and talking to tuners and LS specialists, the "weak" OEM oil pump is one of the first things they recommend to swap out if I was going to give the engine any high RPM I opted for a Mellings high volume, with the high pressure springs and I never had a issue with it Cost wise they are not expensive in the scheme of things
    • Just bought a 2002 Stagea 250tRS VR-X Four AERO VQ25DET and spent the last two weekends cleaning and detailing it.. still have to do the wheels and the engine bay but the rest of it came up nice. Imported 2011 to S.A. and I'm the third owner since it was imported. I met the guy who brought it over, he went to Japan and picked out the car, bought it and ordered the wheels. He also gave me a list of stuff he did to the car with receipts. Coil overs (I have the original springs), 3" exhaust from the dump pipe back no cat, Custom dump pipe,(I have the original exhaust), Plenum spacer, 18" custom Work XSA wheels (need restoring, I've made a start..), Shift kit put through the 5 speed tiptronic auto, TV and menus/screens changed to english, Australian DTV tuner installed in rear. I've just had four new discs and new pads as well as all the fluids including the brake fluid replaced. I have all the receipts for the last 15 years and the import papers in a nice folder. Car looks great, goes like hell but fuel economy is not a thing lol.. pics next..
    • I ended up in this rut again lol, and used a shit ton of filler. One thing I can't understand is, even after using a big long block and going in long X pattern strokes, I always end up at bare metal again with no filler, and my repair started at one end of the door and now I've chased my tail to almost the other end of the door. I was thinking of hitting the panel with a hammer where it might be a high spot and making everything low then filling it, I did this on a small section on my other door by mistake and I think I fixed it lol. Is this a bad idea? The other thing is with guidecoat, whether it's the powder or spray, after I sand all the guide coat off, it doesn't reveal anything for me in terms of high spots and low spots and makes it especially hard when it's bare metal (at least in powdered form), am I doing something wrong here, or likely a high spot I keep going over and creating valleys? Lastly, stupid question but, is it possible that after sanding if I only sand over the filler area where I know to be a dent that it's impossible for me to dig into that dent? Unless there are other problems which I missed.
