That is fantastic except for the excess.....but hey.....if you loose you still end up winning.

What pees me off is if someone hits you and its not your fault ....and you claim, your still up for the excess

Does my policy have a no fault no excess ? Ill have to ask them .

I have to call Shannons now to up my Agreed value....and keep the same premium

and check their no fault policy.

Isnt that what its all about....

If your insured with Shannons, and can prove you are not at fault then you will NOT have to PAY an EXCESS, nor will your Rating be affected.

If you cant tell who was at fault, the you pay the appropriate excess and may be decked your rating also.

Don't forget the free windscreen every year with Shannons!!

Man I'd love a new windscreen every year - do they know how much a genuine R32 windscreen with built in radio antenna is? Theyre in for a shock....

A R32 windscreen with built in antenna wouldnt shock Shannons....

BUT

I bet you a genuine 2001 Lamborghini Diablo VT windscreen would shock Just Cars!

If your car is fitted with a genuine windscreen and it needs to be replaced, THEN it will be replaced with another genuine Nissan windscreen if they are available......

thats good to know! as im told the cheaper aftermarket windscreens that people normally replace with are softer, and chip a lot easier...

im not planning on taking shannons up on their offer unless neccessary though...my windscreen is fine (so far :whistling:)

Guys

8OO5TED has been promoted and moved to another department, stop sending pms.

The new Shanon contact is GTRSOUL (Christ), i used to be with Just Car but they ain't that helpfull to be honest.

Anyway, i've just been insure full comp at $1394.68 for a market value of 30K, can't be any happier.

Thanks guys.

Hey there,

Insurance renewal just landed......is it to much? I ask myself

I am with Shannons , first party and approx. $1400

What do you think, good deal? :P

I am with Shannon's GTR33 - VSPEC $1200 a year full comp Rating 1 with windshield replacement and $300 excess

BTW I am 26 years of age

But my insurance is on my car for it not being a daily driver, just a weekend car or club events, if you don't drive your car much then Shannon's will lower the cost.

where'd you get that info khoa?

I've got it because i made the same mistake, i sent 8OO5TED a pm and he was very helpfull, he fowarded my info to Christ (GTRSOUL) then Christ rang me up.

I still can't believe that i can insure my car at that cost and full comp too, now i don't stress out too much when i go to Chaddy or Movie at the Glen.

Sorry Christ, i meant Chris. I bette edit this fast before Saff see it :P.

HA HA HA! You still missed the "r" off of "bette" BACK AT YA! ;)

BTW West - They may be successful traders but how are people supposed to read them! :P

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
