The more wax you have on your car the easier it will be to clean... says me who won't put my GTR on the pan :D

Incorrect - It matters more that you use the best quality wax that you can get rather than just putting more coats of an average one on.

I never bother doing more than one coat with a good polish (or wax) because you simply dont need to...

Bluprint - Its all in the forgeing process (I thought Id get in first) :/

You must have been a right pain in the @rse for your parents!! :D

Let me put the record straight

What is "incorrect" is your interpretation of my statement...

"The more wax you have on your car the easier it will be to clean" was intended to mean if you have recently waxed in the last few months it should be dandy, however as you get to the end of the wax life cycle i.e. as it wears off/stops being effective, you can see the water isn't beading the same and it becomes harder to wash. I wasn't inplying that you keep loading extra layers of wax.

What do we have to do around here to make you start looking at the glass as being half full? :)

Just car lovers... It was still dirty on the inside as i had the targa top off and window down. :P

I got most of it but it was by no mean clean... lol

I was soooo sure you'd be in big trouble when she got hold of you... I want a sis like yours :)

Yeah my folks never loved me :(

I thought that I might get that sort of response :D I was just picking on you deliberately.

Youre so easy to fire up Michele... Im glad that Im not your mortal enemy (yet).

Was good to meet some more faces... Just got home, did the gtr sound any good? Never been behind it.

it seemed to splutter a little at first but sounded good after that!

You went home too early, you missed the best bits

aww did you come later Michele... I missed you, had to go

Yeah she is not happy down low, I think the computer is loading her up with to much fuel. She also gets a little splutter in the top end one on full boost. When she gets her tune that should all go away

You would of just sent me to fyswich to get some friends their.

edit: Shell, what the hell are you doing up at 3am??? Your puppy needs sleep even if you dont. ;)

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
