To all the wankers in this thread that think everyone with gtr parts is a "gtr wannabe" and as such wishes they had a gtr(yawn).

Do you every consider the fact that fitting a gtr front bar, grille, bonnet, and rear spoiler will increase the performance of teh car? If you cant see this you are truly stupid and as i already know this i wont waste my time spelling those performance gains out.

To think a gtr is something all gtst owners look upto/whatever is beyond a joke.

I have spent 6 years modifying my car at my workshop not racing my checkbook like most of you. For the money i have spent i could have vgc stock 32 and 33 gtrs sittings outside. When you truly care about outright performance these gtr parts become a must. And im certainly not going to complain if the car looks better as a result.

The only line that should be drawn is the use of the gtr badge, it adds no performance at all.

Thanks for coming....

Well said.

Adrian has broken about 5 shafts now and im sick of changing his, didnt want to go through the same thing.

My rear quarters were in need of repair anyway due to some rust, was originally going to pump them but panel beater sait it would be easier tp go this way. Will upgrade diff centre after im happy with gearing.

Why did you need the gtr rear diff assy? did you break any gts shafts? or was your diff just tired? what about getting just a mech diff?

gtr rear guards? how much wider are you trying to run? couldn't a flare have done it?

GTR engine performance parts, go for your life....

GTR cosmetic parts may increase performance on paper, on the street? No!, on a track? Unnoticably yes!

GTSt's should stay GTSt's on the outside

hahaha rofl, and i spose this is all fact because you say so? you aka mr nobody!

Wake up to your self for a minute mate, do you really think nissan designed the gtr kit purely for cosmetic reasons? Do you really think the jgtc/winfield gtrs would have been just as fast wearing gtst gear, because thats basically what your saying.

I spose the gtr seats i have to dont increase performance either being lighter and better holding. I spose the bonnet doesnt remove weight from the already front heavy skylines, i spose the rear spoiler doesnt add downforce, i spose teh grill doesnt allow better cooling, i spose the front bar doesnt add more downforce at the front..... YEAH RIGHT

F*ck there are some idiots around, not to mention some precious gtr owners.

Actually, what is being said is that there is any amount of aftermarket bonnets, spoilers, guards that offer more cooling, less weight and, combined with a cheaper price, mean a GTS-T doesn't have to look like a GT-R Wanna be.

Yep, the seat are better than GTS-T seats. Bride seats are better again.

An Aluminium GT-R bonnet is lighter than a steel GTS-T bonnet - but not as light as a carbon fibre item.

Yeah the plastic bolt ons cut lift (Not sure they actually produce downforce, but anyway) - so do the aftermarket items.

There are also people who like sh!t stirring. :(

Hell, my GT-R doesn't even have a GT-R badge.

Define cosmetic..... if you mean rear quaters, i have to fit a 28x9" slick, and they wont fit under a gtst guard, and the bumper i dont have as i bought the car with front end damage. want a bar that exposes the cooler. waste of time having it covered. i will probably go fibreglass bonet and boot lidfor weight reasons. Its still rear wheel drive and will have the narrow front end so still a GTST as far as im concerned.

I'm the f**king juggernaut, bitch! :(

As djr says, why not buy aftermarket cosmetics? Carbon fibre is lighter and stronger than aluminium ya know.

Hey 28" rims, nice :P

15" rim, 28" tall tyre, im getting the impression that gtst are looked down at by the gtr owners, like the povity pack skyline, and they dont want us to copy them, or am i imagining it.

    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
