Hi. Does anyone know what the differences are between a R33 GTSt 4 door and 2 door (besides the obvious addition of 2 extra doors ) weight etc. My brother has picked up a nice 4 door auto for only 11k (barstard :D)

Would an exhaust from a 2 door fit on a 4 door. If not, could it be easily modified to fit. I ask because whole exhausts are commonly available from import yards for reasonable prices, but I recon I would be hard to find one for a 4 door. I’m not sure about differences in wheelbase etc between the two.

Cheers :D

4 door is slightly longer after the rear wheels. I have a Trust cat back off a 2 door and although it bolted right up , it is too short and sits under the bar instead of sticking out. When I have the time I will get it lengthened because it is discolouring the paint around it

The four door is marginally heavier, like 30kg or thereabouts.

This is a way small penalty to pay for the extra conveniance of increased access (yeah, yeah, dosen't look as cool, rah, rah - I have people in the back all the time).

The boot is also a touch bigger I believe.

Oh, and I love the fact most bogans can spot a Skyline, but the four door usually throws them ;)

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
