and if any one has how well did it work was it easy to use etc?

the page is as follows.

here is the email he sent me so all i need from you guys is some names and addressses etc. and will get it rolling

Hi Oxford,

I’ve just taken a look at the forum and there seems to be a bit of interest. Well done.

If you get 5 buyers, I will do the valves for $49 including delivery to anywhere in Australia.

If you get 10, I will do them for $45 each.

If you get 20, they will be $41 each.

These prices are for the non-nippled version. I suggest getting the non-nippled. The nippled version is not needed unless you want to relocate where the oil will come out (i.e. with a hose, say, if you had a sump guard that you didn’t want to remove every time you change the oil). Add $4 for the nippled.

Most late model Nissans take the F-103 valve (12mm x 1.25mm pitch).

The only thing I ask, is that someone manage the group buy (eg. yourself). Collect all the money, pay me, then send me a list of names and addresses and I will ship out. Do the group buy whenever you are ready.

Just to answer a few questions and clarify.

The valve sticks out more than the standard sump plug only by about 10mm. Usually, sump plugs are on an angle, so the actual clearance isn’t reduced by much at all.

It is double action locking mechanism so you’d have to be pretty unlucky to have it accidentally knocked open by something hitting it.

It’s not a new invention. It’s been around for over 15 years. It’s just that it hasn’t been marketed to the auto industry in Oz. A lot of trucking and industrial use them. Nissan Japan (as well as other manufacturers in Japan) actually has them as an OEM part (I have a picture of the packaging somewhere).

People are saying the price is too high. It’s less than a bottle of synthetic and you only have to buy one. Over the life of the vehicle, it’s not going to equate to much.

There are always going to be people who say they are waste of time, blah, blah, and I do agree that they are not a necessity, but so are a lot of things on cars. My main buyers are guys with 4WDs that change their oil, every 5000. Just makes it that little bit easier to do as a regular thing. Turbo cars obviously benefit from more regular changes as well.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Regards,

Jack

The group buy rules are clear, please update your first post with all the required information as outlined in the Group Buy Rule thread, including start and end date and confirmed pricing etc or the thread will be closed.

Interested, but id like to know how hard the spring that holds the arm is

So there is not a chance of it swinging open by itself

see the 2nd post for the pricing info etc.

once enough ppl are in Im sure we can all come to agree on a close-off date.

awesome guys as per blitz's request i have now edited the first post to include some dates that if he had of looked at the 3rd post he would have seen.

and as soon as we have enough i will pm all that have shown interest and let them know when it is going ahead and where to send the fundage etc.

it seems that there is a fair amount of interest already though so it shouldn't take long.

perhaps you could put all of the names of people that have stated that they are keen into the first post so we can keep an eye on how many people are interested/committed to the group buy.

Will these fit an RB26, I remember reading somewhere that the magnetic ones you get don't fit the 26's sump, are these the same or are there different parts for each?

i will update the first post with details of who has expressed interest when i get a chance.

at the moment i am running late for a date with some beer after a 16hour day so will do it when i can guys

    • 98 r34 gtt Been rocking my latest setup and car running like never before. Have put a good 200 miles on it since all the latest changes and additions. everything is dialed in and have been driving it a bunch.   However, all a sudden last weekend as soon as I pushed throttle passed 4k and the engine stumbles, (slow or fast acceleration) hesitates and doesn’t go above 4100 or so, like a misfire. Everything else seems fine. I had a “good” set of coil packs that I removed from car when I first got it when I changed them over to new coils. I swapped out current ones for those, but no change. I also changed the plugs, no change. Seems to rev over 4 when out of gear with no load just fine no “misfire”, but as soon as its in gear with a load of any kind, it “misfires” as soon as rpm drop back below 4 k it runs perfectly, smooth, starts, restarts and drives fine as long as I keep it below 4 k while in gear. All readings look fine, no CEL   Any idea as to what could all a sudden cause an issue when pushing rpms passed 4 k?
    • When you say your cams are 272/262 is that 272in and 262ex?
    • We're arguing semantics. I am saying 45 accel and a 55 deccel ramp are "2 ways". Even a 45 degree ramp and an 89 degree ramp is "2 ways", because it is literally... two ways. The cusco 55/30 ramp is a 2 way. It's two ways. I get it though - in normal nomenclature a "2 way" would be 45/45 or 55/55 or 60/60 i.e the same locking in both directions. And something like 45/65 would be considered "1.5 way". I would then say if we're getting into the nitty gritty then every locking diff is a "2 way" diff and we should not speak in 1.5, or 2 ways but ramp angles instead. Which ofc if one of those ramp angles is 90deg, that side is not doing any locking. :p So Nismo don't obviously sell 3 things. The fact of the matter that they only sell two items really goes to show that there's a 2 way and a "1,5 way" which is really a 1 way. I believe the actual lockup for the 'adjustability' of the GT pro is really just setting preload for when the ramps actually start locking up. It's not changing how much 'wayness' there is. It is (somehow) horribly explained. People just buy whatever diff and go "locks up good bruh" and that's what ends up on socials forever.
    • No, you're wrong, and you've always been wrong about this. The Nismo has 2 sets of openings. One is a real 2-way, and the other is a 1-way. There is no 1.5-way possible with the ramps that they offer. A real 1.5-way does exist. That Cusco stuff I posted is a prime example. If the forward drive ramps are, say 55°, and the overrun ramps are, say, 30°, then you will get about half as much LSD effect on overrun than you do on drive. It is real, it realy works. OK, you're slightly right. The Nismo has 55° and 45° ramps on the 2-way, so it does offer less LSD effect on overrun. But, I think that just means that they've (probably) sensibly established that you do not want actually equal LSD effect on overrun. You just want "quite a lot, but not quite as much as the drive LSD effect".
