Eoi. R33/34 Rb25 Greddy Knockoff Inlet Manifold Possibly $180ea

Ask him to take some more hi-res pics of a plenum in stock. Those pics on ebay are crap and do not show much detail. Pics hide alot of faults, but at least we have a better idea :D

I think the first one went on ebay the othe day, emailed and he said he would send some better pics. PS i think these two plenums are exactly the same, ill email autotechnica again and see if they think they will be able to beat this price, thats if they get back to me.

i thought so too when i saw it, but if they are both sposed to be same quality as the greddy unit, then they ought to look pretty similar. Now we have some market competition on an already well-priced product. Good stuff

Actually I was the first one to buy this manifold. And jumped on here to let you all know.

I recieved if today.But I bought mine for 450 BUY IT NOW + 50 postage.(hence 500 delivered)

The quality is pretty good. Not in the same quality of finished product as Greddy but pretty good.

A few casting dags in between the runners and the gasket surface is not machined. My best mate

is an ex-foundry mould maker and he's had a look this arvo and is pretty impressed.Just needs a little chean up and a polish. I'm happy.Another $100 for a polish and it's still less than 1/2 the price of the Greddy.Looks like the same dimensions as my Greddy.Internally and externally. Will keep you posted on performance. Will run it std, ported and extrude honded. :)

"SMACK MY BITCH UP" :P

Received an enail from autotechnica today, saying that they could match the price of $319 + postage, although they tell me that they need an adapter to fit the standard throttle body, which they sell(but didn't give me a price)They should be ready late october, what do you guys think, who do we want to supply them(im not fussed)I could get them milled for about $40 ea...Could also get them polished for about $100(cant be sure on price until seen)

Redman8: Did you buy thid for your GTR? If so, WHY?

:) No I didnt buy it for my gtr. She's finished and is at the side of my tommy in the shed.

They both get a little run every now and then.I'm saving them for a rainy day.

I am doing up a 94 gts4 with a 25/30 hybrid at the moment.About 3mths off just yet.Suspension and body is all reconditionded or new. With the addition of GTR rear guards, carbon fibre bonnet,FORD SCREAMING YELLOW panit,TRUST front bar,Black Drift wing,19"Lenso Muse wheels.

AS for most of the important stuff,

Reconditionded Head,De-burred/Acid dipped and cleaned std block,(modified to take turbo and 4wd sump),Forged Hypertec pistons,Cryod std rods,Kings bearings,Top mount manifold,50mm wastegate,To4z,Blitz BOV,800cc inj,NOW FORWARD FACING INLET MANIFOLD,Q45 90mm throttlebody,Q45 AFM,Splitfires,Apexi 270deg 8.7mm lift sticks,Apexi Power FC,Os Gieken twin plate,120mm intercooler,remote oil filter and cooler,twin thermofans>>>>>>>>>and more to come.

Redman8 sounds tops :)

You copied my rims , get them powder coated in "Precious Steel Pearl", they would look awesome with the yellow paint.

:D

yeah im in for a manifold at that price or thereabouts, if by milling you mean the gasket surface then i'd get that done too, polish is a bit of a waste as i tend to close my bonnet lol. I don't mind waiting til next month, but if the ebay ones are as good as redman says, id be more inclined to get one of them. They are in stock i assume, autotechnica have dicked us around too much in my opinion.

Interesting that the ebay one says R32, R33, R34 but R34 RB25 has different stud pattern so is there a seperate one or does he not realise this maybe?

I'm for whoever can get them to us faster?

If the quality is the same and the prices are the same, just get them from whoever is ready to supply..

Personally, I think Autotechnica shouldn't even be considered anymore considering how long the've had and still haven't produced a thing besides a lot of stories?

Spoke to the ebay supplier today, he said to give him two days, and he will have all the answers about fitment etc...Then we are ready to start

So we can hopefully start this Group Buy on Monday..

Sound good to me..

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
