they should fit, but they are not ideal by any means.

far better off with 17X9 +20 all 'round.

edit: even though it may fit, it will look like shit as it wont even come close to filling the guards out either front or rear, and the front track will actually less than stock which is not a good idea. seriously, just buy GTR offset rims.

Hello From Canada! Sorry for a slight thread highjack but I have a similar question (also posted in the offset stickey thread a little higher up)

I tried to get an answer from our Skyline forums in Canada (GTRC) but was unable to get a definate firm answer therefore I come here to ask the Skyline Pro's if these rims will fit my R32.

I have a 1990 R32 GTR..

I want to buy Volk GT-7 Rims which are 18x9 offset +12 (pcd114.3 5H) ... 245/40/18 tires

I need to know by tonight if I am going to be buying them, Will these rims Fit my GTR?? Some have told me they are too big, others have told me they were too little.. and I have also been told I will need to change the tire size and yadda yadda.. judging by the offset thread I believe they should fit but since I know nothing about wheels I'm asking for a definate answer from someone who knows better.

Thank you so very much!

Alex from Montreal :)

it will be pretty close mate. I had 17X9 +20 and with 245s on they were pretty close to the edge of the guards. +12 means they will be 8mm further out so it will be pretty tight. I would say they will most likely fit, but you may need to roll the guard lip a little.

17 x 8, offset 35 for front, 17 x 9, offset 38 for rear, will a GTR32 be able to use these?

If you are goign to run different width tyres front to rear be sure that the profile of the tyres are altered accordingly to ensure that the rolling diameter is the same front to rear.

All the talk i have even heard is that the cheater attessa needs the same rollign diameter on all four corners

Would you think they would fit no problem if I get the fenders rolled? Would they fit per say if I changed tire sizes? If so what size should I aime for? I'm just worried about the front rims really, I doubt I would have any problem with the rear although it would be border line.

Thank you

If you get the fenders rolled you should be ok on the rear. Depends on how much camber you run also.

The fronts are much the same. If they foul the outside of the guard get yourself a camber kit & dial in some -ve camber. It will help your handling & pull the tyre away from the guard.

thes best option is still to just buy the right GTR size/offset rims.

go for 17X9 +20 or 18X9.5 +22 - +26 and same size and offset all round. much less hassle, and it looks tough.

fark - another thing I'm doing all wrong!

Roy: does that mean if i run the same tyres on all 4 using 17x8/+35 and 17x9/+38 rims its perfectly ok..? im still a bit confused..i have 18s on my car but i wanna have a spare set of 17inch rims for track use...265/35/18 semis are seriously expensive...however is there a huge difference in running say 255/45/17, or 235/45/17 like the ones u have and 265/35/18 semis?

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
