hi i just installed a auto meter air fuel ratio gauge straight from ecu wire pin out 29...anyway its very eratic i wound the boost up tp 10 and i get a missfire under boost and a/f gauge says car is leaning out like even at idle it even drops completetly off the gauge on the l;ean side..gauge faulty? its hardly ever in green basically stock r33 gtst s1 fmic exhaust..pod....

eratic gauge

what u think gauge rooted wrong wiring?

missfie

boost ? pugs gapped wrong?

plugs farked? coil packs

its not r&r :miner:

vacuum leak i dunno its driving me crazy...cars fine on standard boost dosent miss a beat under 10pound boost missfire quite a bit

the air fuel ratio guage is erratic as its read of the stock slow and narrow sensor. its not accurate enough to give any useful data on an af guage. if you had a wideband 02 sensor it would be spot on and accurate. you are best off either ignoring the output from the guage, change to a wideband 02 sensor or sell the guage and move on. the guage and the stock 02 sensor will never be accurate.

the misfiring could be the r&r protection being activated in the stock ecu. try at 9psi and see if happens at that pressure

at 9 it is fine not a problem....i am quite happy at 9psi

paulr33 or anyone can u recommend a wideband 02 sensor suitable 4 my needs maybe part number...cost any info plz thanks 4 helping :miner:

yeah they arent cheap and are really only useful when you can tune the fuel injection. its kinda pointless to have one in the car full time without being able to change anything. unless you have different ecu ?

like the above guys have suggested the autometer AFR guages used with standard O2 sensor are a waste of time. I'ts about as good at telling you your AFR as your stereo is.

haha

yeah i noticed that...i have a power fc comming..wanted the a/f to be sure everything went right when pfc goes in :)

thanks anyway...i will put the a/f gauge on hold...spend my little amount of money on better things...

cheers

but the guage looks cool rite?

Hay guys maybe you's can help me out as well my a/f gauge doesnt not bounce back and forth between lean and rich it just sits on stoich with about 4 lights lit up when you accelerate it might move 2 bars towards rich, but it has never bounced back and forth (like i have heard and have read its supposed to) is somthing wrong with gauge or is it normal for a 1.5 series skyline, also i have wired it up in accordance with autometers installation guide.thanks in advance. Also im not using standard computer anymore im using power fc.

    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
    • Yeah - I mean, go the other way. Smaller range. Not larger.
    • To re-cap, I bought: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Lsailt-8G-Infiniti-Q50-Q60-2014_1601171829627.html?spm=a2756.trade-list-buyer.0.0.2cd476e9FTIlKE As you can see, if I bought 20 it was $653, but I bought 1 so it was $1,170. I was very tempted to buy 2 and resell 1 at 25% cheaper. @MBS206, I am not sure if they do a Kluger one, here is their list but it might be there under a global model name: http://www.lsailt.com/product/android-interface?page=1 Keep in mind these full android replacements have basically all the bits a phone does (cpu, ram, storage, wifi, bluetooth, usb interfaces) other than a screen (it uses a host), thus the $800+ cost. Android Auto screen mirroring is MUCH cheaper as it's just a cut down shell, input mirroring and output mirroring BTW I also need that "screen off" feature, it is much harder to see wildlife even if a dash is reasonably dark. Both the Fuga and V37 have display off buttons for night use, they just come back on for a second or 3 if you interact with it, eg skip a song.
