Today, I went to maccas to get breakfast with my friend. He has a supra.

It turns out that the supra forum was running a cruise up to the entrance. We didn't have anything to do, so my friend asked if it was ok if we joined them (I was in my skyline).

They said it was alright for him to join them, but "it would be better off if your friend didn't come with us. there are guys here that don't like skylines or their drivers".

I don't know, but I didn't think that was very nice. On sau cruises, cars of all kinds are welcomed.

Same happens here..but I guess you gota respect that its a supra cruise so they only want supras to be cruising together.

Though im sure if they did let you tag along, you'd be like the wolf among all the sheep..lol.

Anyway dont take it to heart..some clubs operate differently.

I just don't like this statement. I didn't say the full thing above, but this is what they said:

"it would be better off if your friend didn't come with us. there are guys here that don't like skylines or their drivers"

The road is there to share.

I mean, It's not like I really really really really really wanted to drive with them anyways. It was just like maybe I might drive. Like people dont' have to take it so seriously

On sau, I don't think we really discrimnate against any cars. I mean, there have been commodores on our cruises.

dont worry, theyre all talk. if i was you i would've gone for the hell of it.

if you went it wouldnt be any different than any other cruise except it would be lacking a few skylines. if anything they'll all be trying to give you a run and then talk about it when you all stop.

you shouldnt let what one idiot says reflect the rest of the forum, especially if it stops you from cruising with your mate.

def knob man...dont worry about it though. Let them go have a wank over how much they loathe skylines and skyline drivers. It really shouldnt be a big deal who goes on cruises as long as they are not up themselves...

Dont worry mate!

I saw them too today - but they were on their way back on Penno Road, I gave one the thumbs up cause his car looked tops, but he gave me a "greasy"

tool bags!!!

I said to my friend to go anyways without me. I didn't want him to miss out because he was keen for a drive. He said that a lot of those guys were really geeky and didn't have any communications skills. Their confidence relied on the car. hahaha

Hi liz and chris!!, i'll wave to you if I see you. hehehe.

I never do though, which is weird, coz i'm up your way sometimes.

I live in st ives. black sII r33.

someone keep an eye out on the supra forums events so we can 'coincidently' be at the next meet.

only problem i see is we'll have to take it a bit easy so we dont get too far ahead of them when its time to cruise.

Where is supra James when you need him, he usually cruises with us skylines guys. lol

Supra James = :)

j/k.

Regardless of the type of car you drive, a cruise is a cruise, thing is we or the cars we drive don't have a very good reputation because of all the "positive" exposure it's received through TV ie: A Current Affair and so on... there's always some f**knut doing wrong shit in a line. If that was the case with Supras..... we'd be weary of welcoming them on our cruises too... specially anyone that we've NEVER seen.

Don't take it to heart... i doubt it was personal.

    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
    • Talk about noisy. Even when I still had the Tomei under the car I could distinctly hear the tires rolling. And I doubt I ever will need maximum grip like on a track. My GTR will maybe never even see the 600hp mark and I need to get used to the car quite a bit before challenging the limits of its handling. For the next winter storage I think I will get a set of these rubber drive-on thingies that have a tire shaped base. Those supposedly really help prevent flat spots.
    • Well our climate is definitely way less hot overall and the weather can be quite picky at times. I just know that during normal road use or even spirited drives there is no way I'd be able to consistently stay in the operating temperature, and constantly changing the tire pressure would also be a royal pain.
    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
