Probably A Stupid Question...but

Hi all before i start i would just like to say that im new to the forum and skyline ownership so if the questions a bit s*** take it easy on me..

anyhow here goes - I just bought my R32 a few month back and although ive owned many japanese imports over in the UK this is my first in Aus and i was just wondering if all R32's have a alarm that starts when you reach 100kph or more...

If so can i completely stop it ringing or do i just have to put up with it

Sounds like you may have some kind of speed alert installed.

Not a factory option as far as I know. I'm guessing its just an aftermarket thing? You can get them for any car.

Haven't owned an r32 myself tho so I cant be conclusive on that.

I've owned 2 Silvias and now a Stagea and the only odd sound is the beeping when in reverse. I believe all nissan imports have it.

If it did, I'd be pulling the dash apart until I found the buzzer, and ripping it out!

yeha i had that on my 32 gtr.. after 100km/h it ticks lol its a speed warning..

fitted a tomei cluster so yeah it was gone.. its a black box behind speedo.. search on forum there was sumwhere how to disconnect it if you reallly dont wana hear it.

i think it was a standard thing, but most of the time its removed. i know that s13 silvia's had it from factory, and i thought the 32's may have had it since they were from the same time.

if u do a search for it u should find how to get rid of it.. im pretty sure there is a shiny metal box when u remove the bottom of the dash that needs to be ripped out

replace the beeper with a couple of air horns

sure to be a hit with the ladies

ha ha.. yeah it was standard from the factory.. chimed at 107km/h apparently

very annoying, but can be removed with a bit of taking the dash apart. do a search and you will find all you need!

behind the cluster is a silver box. remove cluster and

take it off, then bobs your uncle, no more speed chime

but... if you have a somewhat heavy foot like me... it's nice to have a reminder when you're starting to speed
