G'day feller's, I finally got my R33 last night...havent taken any pics of it yet, so ill post the ones that were on carsales...:)

Whats the specs on that R33? It looks to be a series 1... but series 2 headlights?

Why fellas, here's my beast... nicknamed Nissie Nismo , making 265 kW's at the wheels and haven't lost a battle yet.

yeah 265kw are u sure, i fitted the cooler in that car, but i've left now cos they like to take everyones cash and use second hand shit and charge it out new way overpricing ppl and then dont pay the staff, cos they are f**kheads who rip your arse, i suggest you remove the sticker of the rear window to save yourself from embarrasment, that lil orange brothel of a workshop on mcintyre rd is a disease and should be burnt to the ground, they are scum and should be shut down, only place on mcintyre rd thats decent is james at O.H, don't go nextdoor to the muppets, notice how it's always the same cars at the front just rearranged, it's cos noone can afford the bill, you were charged a thousand bucks to supply and fit that cooler yeah?, it took me 2.5 hours to fit it and it came from gkteck, so the kit was $450, so u got charged $550 bucks labour to fit a cooler thats $220 bucks and hour bro, dammmnnn. just a warning to anyone who is going over that way, don't get sucked in, with the likes of an x force exhaust system fitted for like $1600 cos they say they are epa approved, well they arent, so once again, rip that damn sticker of it makes me feel ill.

that's a really nice/unique colour you got there

though the twin colour scheme looks weird without the front bar

Yeah, I took it to another shop to get it tuned and they said it made over 260 kws at the wheels... as per my PM - fark... making me really pissed now!! lok, sticker will be taken off soon.... not farken happen Jan ...

Yeah the two tone has a real nice funky look to it... just needs a s2 or gtr spoiler, standard s2 type m rear pods and sideskirts and s2 front bar with a lip of some sort on it... with that colour scheme :(

Some new pics I took today, sporting new plates :D

the following pics were taken on the weekend on GODZLR's VERY FIRST driver training day on Saturday. A great day it was, and can't wait to get out there again and learn more about how the car handles etc.

7k launches on a slipping twin plate..why not?

it still smoked all 4s though :S

Notice something unusual......

As some may have noticed in one photo, my happy snap camera was attached to my rear numberplate just to see how it went. I tried the front and back plates, and passenger window using my Ixus 65 camera on a Manfrotto window mount (not suction cup)

Mate, nice car bro.... glad you're enjoying it... just 2 suggestions though... 1) get rid of the towbar as it looks out of place on a Sports car - it's Godzilla not a station wagon.... 2) dump the car down a bit as it looks a bit high...

and oh, I must ask - the front bar doesn't look original genuine GT-R... is this right?

However, no doubt it is a GT-R of course.

dude, what % are those tints. they look good. any trouble seeing out of them at night?

I think they're 15%, I got mine 15% as well with 30 or 35% for the front

it's not as dark looking out from the inside as it looks from the outside

but you'll need those LED ceiling lights that 666DAN is selling

that is if you want to find something in the cabin at night

1) As someone mentioned, it was the happy snap camera attached to the number plate

2) I was waiting for someone to say that.

The car came lowered (on Cusco coilovers), however the dump pipes were like 2 inches off the ground. I use the car for work purposes (when I get the opportunity) and travel through some country areas where pot holes / big deep ditches can be found.

I raised the car to get over the pits first, however after using it at its current raised height for the past few weeks I absolutely love it!! It's not crashing over anything and I don't have to drive on a 45degree angle in car parks or to get up steep driveways. I plan to paint and repair the front lip (couple joins broken), so the raised height will also come in handy in keeping that in good condition.

Sure lowered looks hot, but meh I'm over the whole looks thing. My mum says it sounds like a truck, and now I can say it looks like one too :)

3) The front bar is genuine GT-R, and yes you are correct its a GTR (V-Spec) as well lol. Everything exterior wise is original, except for the Nismo bonnet lip & smoked lenses.

MattyP: Love the car, and the action shots.

But in the still shots, the background is far to busy for my liking (esp. the deli shots). It hides the car too much as the background is such a mix of colours, your car just shaddows in contrast to them.

A nice plain light colourd background would make car stand out :)

    • Driveline vibration is resolved. I ended up loosening all my engine mount and trans mount bolts, giving it a good shake then retightening everything and it's gone... Let's just say I was surprised that fixed it.  I've been happily driving it around again but unfortunately put zero time into my direct port/constant pressure WMI setup. I'm on vacation next week, so I'll try and finalize it then.  On a different note, I spent all week fuel/ignition mapping 2x 216L V16 engines. Turbo's were burning glycol and we swapped them out for larger units. We also had planned emissions testing on site, so I figured I'd be there the same week to use their instrumentation and massage any emissions issues out if needed. This was a first for me. Fuel management is similar in certain ways to automotive (i.e air density as load variable) but very different in others. It's all PLC based and AFR's are controlled by air and not fuel. They use a control valve between the turbo and air manifold to control pressure which in turn controls AFR's. Due to this, target AFR tables supplied by the OEM are in pressures and not mass which really through me off. They use air pressure vs fuel pressure tables. I also relied on an O2 concentration sensor the emissions team had in the exhaust. Ignition timing was also all over the place and we were losing a fair bit of power. They're now happily sitting at 16-40BTDC depending on load. We were making about 1600kw at 900rpm at 90% load. Engines were running a lot smoother as well.
    • heh, aint no R32 ever meeting modern targa cage rules unless the driver is veeeery short OP, good luck with the sale, since its already in the land of freedom I'm sure you will find a good buyer.
    • meh, it was a good video, clear about the issue and how he dealt with it. A bit heavy on the RTV and very brave to put an RB in anything without rebuilding it first, but otherwise I thought it was good Dose, I'm not sure that having the pickup forward is a big issue; yes of course the oil could shift under brakes but the sump should never be empty enough for that to be a problem (unless you also have a higher volume oil pump, and that oil can't return from the head to the sump quickly enough)
