i just dont like it as u cant see crap out the back window and cant tell if its a cop car ehind me at night or not lol

ha ah ah ha...word of advice - if you keep this wing, make sure you don't tint your car - or else you'll find it even harder to see out of the back window, especially at night.

If you want a nice, clean and flush look - you can go GTR wing but every man and his dog (including myself) has one - why? Because they're nice. >_<

Cheers.

If I knew the answer I would've posted it

But you can call it the 'Name It' Wing

There's a thing called google - use it... it is a Jun wing - a replica of course ... might not be as nice but it's a copy alright. >_<

MattyP do u have rear pods i cant tell?

also ur car looks exactly like mine (i.e shell) , mines a 33R V-spec too, same colour. and people always say my front bar isnt genuine and question if its a GTR....

also i dont have rear pods.

Is it possible some GTR's came out without rears and different front bars?

Some GTR's smash their front bars, hence they have to go aftermarket or some just want an aftermarket one - hence, people will say it's not genuine - fair enough, I'd say... not saying your's after market, but it may be...

Secondly, rear pods were factory options on GTR's ... I think it makes them look tougher... kinda looks different without them... but without pods, the rears look more defined.

My car's exterior is very original (cept for Nismo smoked lenses and the Gandors that are to be fitted later). I questioned about the front bar myself, however the main reason was because it didn't have the front vents which I later found to be are from N1 spec GTR front bars.

MattyP hey mate is that a front bonnet lip on it???

Yes it does have a bonnet lip on it...Nismo item.

I dont have pictures yet ay coz mine looks like a truck, but i just purchased some coilovers and I recently put rims on, so as soon as its dumpd theres guna be HARDDDDD photos haha

will post up as soon as i take em :D

im guna buy some rear pods coz yeah i prefer them...

ooo tommo ur gtr is one of the coolest ive ever seen :)

looks exactly like mine cept for the wheels...

the black wheels and black (or c/f wing) look realy good.

I've got the c/f wing, just need the wheels to complete the look :thanks:

Here is mine, nice and clean again (rain makes it look a bit dirty)

Skirts are fixed and back on - finally - only took me 2 years to get around to doing.

Any idea what side skirts I have? They are different to the stock ones I have seen as these wrap around underneath where the door closes.

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
