i am having to remove my intake plenum so i can get at my injectors for upgrading them. my question is can i reuse the original gasket or would it be better to replace it..the reason i am asking is i am located in the US and these engines are far and i mean far from common and i have no sources here to acqurie new one if needed, also i am in need of a new oil dipstick due to the original one being broken in transit. also if anyone has any ideas as to upgrading injectors feel free to chime in please..so far i have only seen one (SARD) has a full set..wow they are high though

please help :(

If it is the same as the rb25 series 1 & 2 plenum gasket you will be able to re-use it. its got big rubber o rings. it will be O.K.

As for injectors you're in the lucky country, the aftermarket 350Z/G35 injectors will fit straight in!!!

Check out www.350Zfrenzy.com and www.g35frenzy.com most people there could help you out with locating some good injectors.

oh wow...that is incredible...thank you so much..i do have one more question...the stock turbo had about of qt of oil in it..lol yeah a qt, and im yanking that one off and i have a garrett 60-1 that came off my built SR i had before i went to this engine...with upgrading the injectors and using a power FC you think i will be ok on the stock head gasket for a little bit. i dont mind changing it but i have to say i am running out of money fast going to this style of engine..lol...but i must say i am still happy with my decision due to the fact these engines are very rare over here..

thanks for the info again...i just scored me some 650's from a G35 buddy of mine for 200.00 bucks..best deal i have gotten so far...

No fair, can you get me some for that price?

Also, regarding the the gasket. They are not the same as the R33 ones however you can reuse them if you are careful on removal. They can get stuck on the top part in one area and the bottom part in another area then break with you lift the top part off.

That said, they don't stick like with gasket goo so are easy to separate as long as you are careful.

    • Thanks for the linkie. Certainly always a great deal of help when people post comparisons like these, but I think for now I'll stay away from any semi slicks. I did go ahead and order the sportcontact 7. My buddy has them on his modified A4 and he keeps saying how good they are. For my intended purposes these will probably work real well. I'll report on them once I had the chance to try them out
    • Talk about noisy. Even when I still had the Tomei under the car I could distinctly hear the tires rolling. And I doubt I ever will need maximum grip like on a track. My GTR will maybe never even see the 600hp mark and I need to get used to the car quite a bit before challenging the limits of its handling. For the next winter storage I think I will get a set of these rubber drive-on thingies that have a tire shaped base. Those supposedly really help prevent flat spots.
    • Well our climate is definitely way less hot overall and the weather can be quite picky at times. I just know that during normal road use or even spirited drives there is no way I'd be able to consistently stay in the operating temperature, and constantly changing the tire pressure would also be a royal pain.
    • Input shaft bearing. They all do it. There is always rollover noise in Nissan boxes - particularly the big box. Don't worry about it unless it gets really growly.
    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
