As I'm sure the goss is out. Some of use knew...some of use thought they knew and to those who dont know...

Congrats to Powerplay at Drummoyne for bringing the only Z-Tune to Australia and best of all, make a track day out of it so we can see this thing up close and doing mach 1 down Oran park straight.

I had an awesome day (with one of the slowest cars...Who puts a R34 GTR V spec in Group 4?) Liz.....I think I owe you a six pack, we'll have to wait till times are published.

Weather was perfect and the day was almost incident free. I'm gonna go sleep for 12 hours now :D

You've been beaten to it by a different thread mate :D

I think we should all use that one for pics :(

But yeah, totally agree with the congrats for Powerplay

Im halfway through uploading pics

Nah Sam, you got me by half a second. 6 pack coming your way!

There was a 1.37 recorded under my name but htat was when McGill was driving the silvia (i wasn't far behind him though with a 1.38!). I didn't know how much fun i could have in an NA silvia, but damn that thing can corner!

Anyhow, mission accomplished for the day, by the time I left the track, all engine warning lights were on, burnt oil smoke coming through the air cond vents, busted coilovers knockin on every bump... ready for it's build up.

Damn it was an awesome day! So hot out there.

thanks to jo, alistair, tosh and rob!

Haha sorry about that being in grp 4 thing. It was totally our fault, me and Blitz requested to go in the same group and Joanne must have rearranged the groups the only way possible. Putting us in group 4...

Then Blitz didn't come...

So i was there by myself...

I think in a different group I wouldve had less holdups but ultimately I'm a noob so my time's would've still been pretty crap. Next time I'll know better...

Hi Kris,

I explained the groups to Nick ie: group 1-most experienced grading down to group 4-less experienced.

Nick actually requested that you both be put in group 4, thought it was a bit strange at the time.

Cheers

Jo

    • Just to be clear, there were no lights or codes when the hiccups were occurring. Also nothing noticeable in the cars' braking. It brakes fine and the dash is clear. I only made the connection when it did throw a code and suddenly, despite the lights, it felt great again.
    • Yeah they are sliders and this was in my head before I worked out it was the speed sensor.
    • Ok so we have a smoking gun.  A few weeks ago I had to replace a speed sensor that I'd fit incorrectly. I replaced the sensor and everything was fine with no lights or codes thrown any longer.  When I was doing some more bedding in yesterday I got ABS and traction control lights again and, considering when this happens those things are disabled, the pedal went back to normal with smooth braking and no hiccups.  The codes thrown are for the same speed sensor that I replaced. When I looked at the sensor I took out it looks like the tip of the sensor is damaged. So whatever happened to it, perhaps it has damaged the magnetic ring on the bearing (that I only replaced the other week). I'll get my boroscope in the hole where the sensor goes and see if there is any damage in there. Hopefully just the tip of the sensor is in there and the bearing is fine. 🤞🏻  It's worth noting also that the pedal hiccup happens more often and for longer periods now and totally goes away when the codes are thrown again which happens usually after 5 or so minutes of driving. Love all your help here as usual guys, thanks!
