Hi all

Long shot but maybe someone knows........

I have looked at the Workshops/Tuners sticky but cannot see anywhere and am not overly familiar with car part stores.

Mitsubishi were my first port of call but they would take up to 4 weeks from Japan and as it seems, (I think it would have been incorrect anyway based on the ones Eastside supplied). I tried Chadstone first being a Ralliart Distributor but they could only order them, then tried Knox who suggested Eastside Mitsubishi.

Eastside had the LED's that Chadstone priced so Mavric has kindly trundled out there and got them, only to find they are the wrong size. I called Techsport who were very helpful and suggested Bursons as apparently they are quite common. Bursons couldnt help and sent Mav to another parts distributor near by who again couldnt supply and this time told him they were genuine Mitsubishi parts only.

This LED has a little black plastic cap on the base with a bayonet type fitting that locks it into the dash.

Is my only hope 4 weeks from Japan (assuming they get the right one as there is no part number on it) or can anyone help on here please?

Can post a pic later but Mav is currently roaming Melbourne with it!

Any help appreciated. :D

No idea what type of LED you're after Alan, but Justin and I just got some LED's sent from America.

They took about 3 days to get here :)

I'll try find the link to the site for you...They seem to have a pretty wide range to choose from so you might get lucky :D

Thanks for the replies guys.

After showing them the globe when Mav went to get the money back on the originals, the found some and out of courtesy did a straight swap even though they would have been priced higher.

Appreciate the quick response guys.

This can be deleted/locked if needed or used as a resource if it helps with other suppliers.

:D

I can help you find clear tail light for your LANCER, apparently they are very common as well :) . Also since when Mav become your Toy Boy hahahahahahaha. :) .

ROFL! Get back to that affair with the burgundy 33! Wait for the next opportunity Koala! :P

And.....

Thanks Mav for the help, really appreciate the driving around. Will catch you tomorrow at the Autosalon meet if its still on. :)

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
