im running at 2 in 1 dump/front. wish i had bought a split dump in the first place as from what i read its better. mine was bought bout 2 yrs ago from batmbl and his prices are still relatively cheap. I dont know why you would need to go custom unless you have aftermarket turbo - or if the a/m turbo didnt have dump included.

I got a bell mouth (not split system) turbo to cat dump pipe, 3inch stainless steel, for $220 from JustJap on ebay. Top quality for the price I guess, and definately a power gain :)

Nozila, I know what you mean about rather buying a split pipe to start with, guess it comes down to finances at the time tho :( I figured myself $200ish was more than adequate, rather then twice that for a split system. Maybe one day down the track....................... :D

Hmmmm - anyone want a 3inch bellmouth stainless steel turbo to cat pipe? only 4000kms old ! :O:kiss:

if you go custom, dont bother going stainless steel cause mild steel would just do the job just as good at a fraction of the cost - material wise that is. my dump/front (mild steel) has been on for years and its still in as new condition, same goes for my cat back exhaust (mild steel) in same condition i bought it in - over 4 yrs now not to mention how long its been used prior to me having it. just a thought.

I've got a CES split dump - more pricey than other split dumps out there, but the quality really is fantastic.

Haven't used a standard dump so I can't compare the two, but the improvement the dump made when it was installed was great! Great guy to deal with over the phone too - helpful and prepared to spend some time on the phone talking/explaining about the product.

GOT MINE DONE AT D & T

SPLIT DUMP TO JUST BEFORE THE CAT (CUSTOM) WITH NEW METAL RACING CAT.

SPOOLS UP ABOUT 500 RPM QUICKER AND YOU CAN FEEL THE INCREASED POWER

I had them do my exhaust system.

Back then they swore black and blue that the split dumps don't increase power or spool, they said it was a load of crap. I think it was more the case they hadn't done one before.

Ahh well now these gt35r internal gates are out I will be grabbing a new dump soon anyway. :(

Cheers for all your replies guys, now im thinking of just goin mild steel instead of stainless.

Split dump and front pipe sounds the best!

Thanks

good choice, stainless aint worth the money. no one is going to squat under your car and go omfg, bling bling he has stainless pipes :woot: - or somethng to that effect. engine bay, on the other hand, is understanable.

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
