the hardest thing about using a transbrake is getting used to not hitting the brakes when you hold it flat but its easy

just get into stage hold the button until you hit the right boost or rpm

i leave the line at 5000rpm with 10 psi boost

any questions pm me

put a boost gauge and 5" rev tacho close to ur steering wheel so u can c it straght and clear. I have 3 speed in mine. 1st u switch your transbrake solenoid on, hold the button then rev it to 5,000 or something, boost will hit 15-18psi. leave the button then you'll get "quickest launch ever". dont hold that button for too long, 5-6 sec max, other way u will cook ur trans. get a big trans cooler !, and dont press it again when you launch, your trans will go back to reverse and brake ur auto internals. autos are jsut like a tune and engine, you need correct stall size to suit ur turbo, and cam and then retune it to match everything... very hard man. You bought the best auto for drags, good luck

Love the sound of the T51R, always have and probably always will :P

As for being the quickest, I'm not sure about times but there was an R33 running a factory-capacity RB25, making 795rwhp getting around Brisbane, was built by Hardcore before they ceased operations and had NIS33 on the plates. Also, 40RCD (now TRY09) might be worth checking too, I don't know if it still runs an RB25 bottom end but last time I saw it, it was running some very decent times. It was definitely 2.5 litre when it was running mid 10's, and I'm fairly sure it was still 2.5 when it broke into the 9's too, but I don't know about now :)

Best of luck ;)

    • In Vic it would be a defect regardless of whether or not you cut a hole in the sheetmetal for the return pipe. The rules in Vic are shitful, and are generally interpreted as you can "make 2 mods to the intake system". Putting an FFP and an FMI onto it will almost certainly be seen as some huge number of intake mods. You really need to speak to an engineer before doing this stuff in VIC.
    • planning a r34 rb25 de+t with some other work, rather just have it done in a shop due to space limitations any recommendations? I have most the parts already I seen online Moore Performance and DR Drift any advice appreciated thanks
    • I’ve read the previous posts so just looking for latest information on how people have dealt with front facing plenum is it a defect etc or didn’t pass roadworthy or was it not noticed? Have a r34 and deciding if I should make a hole on the driver side or not.  I know some people have said blitz return flow but I might get rid of the stock intake down the line for a plenum so I rather set up for that now plus I already have a standard Intercooler. Car is mainly stock  Thanks.
    • Actually, if having and keeping the stock ECU is the plan, the correct answer is to put Nistune into the ECU and improve the situation, not just look at it.
    • Wrong side of sydney for me coming from Goulburn, but you should head along, all ages of Skylines will be very welcome
