Yep the floor mats are a good idea Wil - but we're keeping this thread to a "One post One idea" thing (eg, no whoring) so it doesnt get confusing for when we start to price all the ideas up >_<

don't mean to be a cynic but what is the point of putting one of those heat insulators on a standard turbo or similar low mount turbo? no one's going to see it anyway so it would only be useful for those running a high mount turbo.

How many member's does SAU NSW have that would be running a high mount turbo and hence require one of these?

It really doesnt matter tosh, we're after the ideas >_<

If there's only a small market for them thats something we will discuss after all the ideas have been posted up

Anyway, enough chat - come on guys, more ideas :teehee:

ummmmm.....

* car seat covers (either slim or baggy fit, depending what u like)

* shirts/jackets for the chickies

* water bottles (those pop top type ones)

oh and the number plate surrounds (go you Brett!) and sun visors are GREAT ideas!

Edited by Tinks

I'd happily fork out some cash for coffee mug, airbox and number plate surround.

Any chance of a smaller www.skylinesaustralia.com sticker in black? Something to sit on the side of the rear bumper. The massive white one is still on my garage floor - too big. I'd love to show my support for SAU but something a little more subdued.

What about SAU socks?

And I like dirtgarages idea of including username on jackets/clothing/hats. Just as an option, it'd be great and save standing next to someone you've spent hours talking to on the net.

I like this idea.

What about SAU floormats in black that are an exact copy of the nismo ones but don't cost as much?

I know there is a company that can make them. But don't know the details.

Replace the "NISMO" bits with "SAU"

Good idea, agreed! We will try and chase this up. Do you have any contacts, Wil?

i was thinking a great addition to the t-shirts/jackets would be the addition of the username somewhere, either across the shoulders like the rugby/football teams or near the front pocket area or both. As i was at Calder on Sunday and was standing next to people who i knew online but it wasn't until we were introduced that we realised who each other was.

Names are currently available as an extra-cost option for the SAU-NSW members' jackets. I guess adding it to t-shirts, etc. should not add too much extra, but we'll look into it.

I wouldnt mind purchasing something like this as a keyring. You can engrave something on it like "SAU", "Skylines Aus"....etc...

because it's silver in colour i thought engraving something on it would look good.

The bottle-opener we are looking at getting is on a keyring, and depending on what people are willing to spend, we will either get these printed in SAU colours (most likely black and red) or laser-etched (which is longer lasting, but colour is not an option).

i like the windscreen heat sheild, and it would be awesome if it was the correct size for a 32, 33, 34 etc.

Windscreen heat shields are already on the investigation list, and depending on cost we can look into chasing up model-specific ones if people are still genuinely interested.

Heat Sheild for the pod filter.. The aliminum box with SAU NSW printed on it.

Prevents defects and looks good

Not sure if the club will be able to afford something like this at this stage - we've gotta crawl before we can walk.

how about we jump on bandwagon..

purchace 10,000 china coolers, put an SAU sticker on them and sell them all off.

or turbo heat shield bags...

Both of these ideas would be awesome, but once again unlikely at this stage! A sticker on a cooler would probably(?) melt, though... Turbo heat shield bags (assuming there are enough owners with high-mounts willing to buy them) might be a bit easier.

shirts and jackets for girls!

A girls' range of shirts is currently being looked at, but girls' jackets may be a bit harder to come by

Numberplate surrounds - With SAU on them :)

Specific for plate sizes and designs.

I think Qld has these, might chase this up and see what they're worth...

what about harness pads with sau on them?

Good idea!

Beer coolers :glasses:

Beer coolers/stubby holders are also in the list of things we've already started chasing up.

i like the sun visor, turbo heatshield and airbox sounds good!

what about gear knobs

Gear knobs? Like an option or replacement for the factory, Nismo or Momo style jobs?

I dunno, but I think you need a swisher looking logo to put onto merchandise like keyrings.. something along the lines of:

saulogo%20copy.jpg

dodgy 30 second mock up

Nice idea Ryan, if you're willing to take this idea a bit further (and maybe submit others?), then we may consider it...

Please remember, everyone, we want genuine ideas and suggestions here. We are slowly trying to help the club grow, and funds are tight. The more people we can attract towards signing up as SAU-NSW club members, the better our situation will be! And those people who sign on as members will reap the rewards of cheaper merchandise, as well as all the other benefits of club membership, as outlined here. The problem with some items is that there are minimum runs that we will have to buy before we can even consider them. One example are the thermal travel mugs, where the minimum product run is 100 - will we be able to sell this many travel mugs, or are they going to sit on the shelves of the SAU-NSW stock room and collect dust (not to mention the money wasted on a non-selling item).

Regardless, all ideas are welcome, and time will tell how viable each suggestion becomes!

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
