Hi all

Both of these units I can source for roughly the same price, which would be better seeing as the same amount of money is to be spent on them.

Note: HKS EVC 4 I am referring to is the latest one (HKS have different versions for different countries)

Blitz:

HKS

I like the look of the Blitz more and Id say both are comparable in performance, dont know whether this is a safe assumption to make though.

Cheers

I did a comparison on the Apexi AVCR vs ID-III a few years ago. I have also worked with the HKS unit. I believe both are good but would still pick the blitz everyday of the week.

These products are a much of a muchness as i have used both, the hks is faster is processing i think away but it is really up to you i ended up using the hks much easier to use as u just have to press one button to change the boost and the blitz u have to press the dial in and then choose which preset boost setting u have then press the button again ...umm i did notice a little boost creep in the blitz as the hks i didnt ...also if it is not boosting properly the hks one will limit boost pressure -"fuzzy technology".

just some experiences

cheers

Ive used HKS EVC's since they were brought out ages ago... and i SWEAR by them, never ever had a problem with any of them, they hold boost perfectly, are a piece of piss to install and always have a heap of handy features ;)

Also tried: AVCR, Greddy Profec-B and the Blitz SBC and still prefer HKS over any of them.

PS. Its what im using at the moment as well.

    • The fancy pants red shock tower brace is finally incoming from MX5 Mania, getting it shipped from 'Merica has been a long and problematic process, and GWR, the 'Merican supplier will not ship directly to consumers outside of the US, Mania basically had to order a heap of them, the colour choice was silver, or red, and we all know anything red adds 5 killerwasps of dynotorques..... Whilst it does fit over a 2.5, and I've seen a few photos and videos of it being installed and fitting, google also says it might get real close to the FAB9 intake front runner, people in the US says it does fit with the FAB9 intake, except for one person who said it slightly touched.......so there is that.....LOL..... As it seems that I am the first in AU to have this combination of parts there's no local knowledge about fitment, so I'm just a willing guinea pig in this endeavour, I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope for the best In other news, I ordered stuff from China  on the same day I ordered the 23° silicone bend from Victoria, the stuff from China arrived a day ago, the 23° silicone bend is still travelling around Australia thanks to Australia Post, and "may" be here next week
    • Very good news...I contacted Racebox about it last night. My car is a 2016 so remains to be seen if it is compatible, requires a TCU swap, or is impossible.
    • What ECU are you running? This is probably the biggest question. If it's a PowerFC, I'd probably change the ECU and get something newer that will handle the injectors in a nicer way.
