i clipped this bit of info from his post a while ago, if it helps:

Front Camber -1.00

Front Caster 7.00

SAI 9.00

Front Toe 0.00

Rear Camber -0.5

Rear Toe 2.00 mm in on each side

they are very roadish specs. Around a track, you'd probably want another 0.5 - 1.5 degrees of neg camber on the front, and maybe another .5 on the rears. Caster is fairly good.

Then again, all this depends on the track.

You don't really............well you can if you know what your doing.

For ride height:

You have to remove your wheel, have two 'C' spanners handy and then adjust away turning the big rings at the bottom of your spring. After this you'll need a wheel alignment. So I would go to one of the afore mentioned suspension shops and let them do it all.

For ride dampening:

If you have damping adjustment [a click turn adjuster in the centre at the top of your shockie] then you can dial in anything from hard to softer. Upmarket models have this, the not so upmaket ones have no adjustment, the damping is fixed. Then there are extreme upmarket ones that don't believe you need any of it because their product is used by God.

guys i recently bought a R33 with coilovers.....I have no idea how to adjust them....can anyone help???

yes on the bottom of the shock there will be a dial, some have it on the back parcel shelf, but mostly on the bottom, there will be a left and right action for dampaner control (bounce back) left is for softer right is for harder more aggreisve.

After this you'll need a wheel alignment. So I would go to one of the afore mentioned suspension shops and let them do it all.

Shit i didn't know you needed a wheel alignment when the suspension is altered. I was playing with mine the other day and the rears are as low as they go...fully sick...obviously im not going to leave it like that but for any adjustment do you need to realigne your wheels?

As you wind down your suspension you will 'squat' the car. This means that the inside of your tyres will be the main load bearing contact point. ie your camber is changed. The insides of your tyres will scrub out.

The amount of camber you end up with depends on the amount of adjustment you dialed in. Your tyres are not moving in a straight line, they are on an arc [imagine you remove your suspension and then pick the car up and the wheels dangle, they swing down and the tops hang out and the bottoms swing in]. The back tyres are less affected because they are on a full axle.

So any adjustments you make are movements about an arc.

Or thats my understanding of it anyway.

Somebody else may be able to add more!

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you  
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'  
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
