Its from a jap factory and they make motor for huge liners. Its one of there diesel motors and believe it or not they come in a twin turbo format.

Some facts on the 14 cylinder version:

Total engine weight: 2300 tons (The crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons.)

Length: 89 feet

Height: 44 feet

Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm

Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm

would this win the summernats dyno comp????

    • Good stuff, I suppose a measly 630rwkw should do for now.
    • It’s at 30psi, there’s still plenty left in it and Adam said it was making the power easily!! We ran out of injector though
    • Car is now back - I have the Nismo fender extensions on it too. Body place did a really good job with melding them to fit the sedan.   I'd take a photo of the whole car, but it's somewhat hard to do from where it's parked in the carport. The OEM'ness is growing on me. As is the desire to buy wheels - But it would be flat out dumb to buy maybe fitting wheels with minimum precision and rush to fit them before going on a Tasmania road trip. Probably better to do that one with OEM spec wheels on it. I also bought a pod filter. It is not OEM spec.
    • The 32 still sits untouched with the broken gearbox. So a little off topic but not worth having a whole new thread. The daily starlet has gotten back on the road after 9 months. Suspected blown HeadGasket at a track day resulted in a bit of scope creep rebuild. The motor got a full tear down, pressure testing, machined for MLS HG, ARP head bolts, new bearings, all new seals etc also noticed some fatigue on the stock exhaust manifold so obviously the answer was a steam pipe manifold and highflow turbo. The exhaust was also looking tired with some rust holes. So I got a slightly over kill system made up consisting of Vibrant resonator and muffler with a highflow cat. The new highflow turbo had a larger inlet so instead of adapting the old intake got a case of the might as wells and had a nicer alloy intake made After the run in was finished i bought a (probably considered retro/vintage) EBC becasue "might as well"
