looking at a set of wheels for my R32 GTSt

my car is the stock ride height with stock calipers/discs

wheels i'm looking at are:

front: 18*8 +32

rear: 18*9 +40

will they fit without modification to the guards?

PS i have looked through the stick where people are posting offsets etc. but was still unsure!

thanks,

Warren

i have 18x8 +30 and 18x9+38 and they fit, didnt need to lip guards, but i have anyway, wouldnt hurt to.

basically, your rims will stick 2mm further in than mine and on the rear there is PLENTY of clearance to the strut and on the front there is about 10mm clearance to the upright, so you will still have enough clearance

The only potential issue i can see is the inner rear rim fouling on the end of the tie rod end cover. Not a major issue as it can be removed with no consequence to give an extra bit of clearance.

I have about 5mm clearance to the cap with 17x9 +35, so a +40 will be borderline.

i have 235x35x18 on front 18x8rims

265x40x18 on rear. 18x9rims

stock suspension,brakes etc

didn't have to roll guards or anything

although im getting rid of them as they

feel to heavy on the little rb20 + auto

don't think weight will be a problem with my rb20/auto combo as the wheels i just bought tonight are Volk challenge F-zero rims and are lighter than teh stock wheels!!

thanks for the help everyone..

will psot how i go tomorrow when i go looking for tyres

i have 235x35x18 on front 18x8rims

265x40x18 on rear. 18x9rims

i think you will find you have 235/40R18 and 265/35R18

ok so what salad said was 100% correct

i have booked in to get 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 tomorrow...

getting nankang NS2 tyres due to price constraints - bloody 18s are expensive to get tyres for!

thanks all for your help

i shall post when they are on to let you know how it goes with fitting..

cheers,

Warren

all fits well with no toruble of any kind on the front or rear

apparently rolling diameter is out by 6-7mm so shouldn't be a problem

also, 9" wide on the rear just fits inside the rear guard.. i might think about getting the guard roller to be safe, but it definately fits in stock form

this is all with standard suspension / ride height

thanks to all for your help, especially salad :P

cheers,

Warren
