They look like the new nismo ones! if i was in the market these would be sold right now! good luck!

if i wanted a set later on could u supply?

  • 2 weeks later...

NEW ...comes complete with free rim rash!!! ...god i'll be pissed as $##*% ...hope u get a refund Chris....or a fantastic explanation

Happily. Will take a few more pics (That aren't using my phone, like the other ones :)) in the daylight tomorrow.

Don't see the point though, even if it was jsut the 1 rim - still f*cked. Still not what was paid for.

**Update**

He has just offered to refund me 100$ to fix damage to wheels.

still waiting for pics.........

I think its high time you stepped back and let your mate Silbeer who actually sold the rims do the explaining.

Theres no excuse for that, 25-50% of the "new" price shoudl be refunded.

Or a full refund plus postage so 51OWW can return the rims and get his money back..

Very very low silbeer....

Hard to see scrapes while not photo'ing them directly (mainly due to flash of camera as it's overcast outside)

However, the point is made that it's CLEARLY not on just one wheel.

Probably shoulda taken all the photo's without the flas (like the one below) though, this was the last one - which i went back to get as i figured someone might think, the bad damage to the front and back is only on 1 wheel (Which is still NOT acceptable anyway)

Damage on inside of wheels is on outer sides of rim. Looks like they have all been rubbing on coilovers or something.

How the hell it has been damaged halfway into the wheel i have *NO* idea

White marks on tires is from the tape that he used to package. Not damage to tires.

Pics are in no specific order. Just took random photo's. I don't see why i should need to prove that they are all damamged - the fact is, there is damage. Which is NOT what was said/advertised

I'll have to see what happens with this claim he is going to give me back some money - but by the previous post - maybe i should be asking for more money back on this dud sale? (if i get any of it back at all ? )

thats just not acceptable. NEW is brand spanking new....if its been on the car for ONE day I would advertise it AS NEW assuming there are no imperfections.

What you got was nothing short of 2nd hand USED wheels with gutter rash. I would return the wheels and ask for a refund as you can buy these brand new for a tad more than what you paid.

Or, as you already have them, I'd definately be asking for 25-50% off the price you paid.

Basically what they would go for as 2nd Hand with Gutter rash....

Ask around at a few places that sell heaps of 2nd hand rims what price they might put on something with those sort of imperfections.

If they're alloy, don't forget most minor imperfections are easily fixed by machining, but I definately wouldn't be paying for it out of my pocket!

Thats shocking ban his arse. Shame to I have these rims on my gt-r and they are very nice. When I put my car into the gutter they looked better than those and i promtly went out and baught new ones.

my advice is request a full refund and send the wheels back after you receive it. see what he says. and try and negotiate to a point you are both happy.

    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
    • I'm a fan of the JZX110, and the Aristo. Big cruiser cars, and with the factory cars, super comfortable and feel like you're driving an armchair! And the JZ motors are a pretty nice engine too, especially with some basic mods.   The import process, and the need to be able to trust people, and the fact there's so many scammers around is what ever puts me off wanting to go through that ordeal!
    • I don't care for these at all, but at least the underside looks straight and not rusty. A good basis for a long life. Many cars from Japan have been lifted with forklifts and f**ked almost irrepairably.
    • Yes, but it's not dumb or dodgy. You can build a perfectly good boost controller from a pressure reg, a relief valve (looks same same as a reg if all from Norgren or SMC, for example) and a check valve. I ran one for years. Only superceded with  EBC because I could get one for cheaps and wanted finer control.   THis mod is certainly not a sketchy boost mod, provided the boost is kept below the "spin to death" threshold of the turbos.
