i like the fact the my 32gts-t was neva sold here. so it feels like i have sumthin special on the rd. i see only a few r32's a week, which is great, i prefer them to be rare. the power is excellent, its easy to extract more power, handles awesome, great sound, and they look tuff.

My sisters mate brought one over, uncomplied. I was a v8 lover at this stage and thats the day that changed. He took me for a thrash, come flying sideways thru a roundabout and hit a brand new vt side on completly f**king the vt.

Pretty serious accident.

Wanted one ever since.

X2

plus, my cousin took me for a drive in his back in 95............. I nearly came in my pants.

so I got one 3yrs ago.

uhhh 95? do u mean it was a 95 model? i have never heard of sum1 having an import till like the late 90's and that would have been a near new skyline too.. so he must have paid a small fortune for the thing back then?

well anyway my love started with gran turismo & my neighbours obsession with the r33 gt-r (at the time the latest) and have loved gt-r's ever since. When the 34 came out they just looked so fken incredible i had to have one.

I got mine because I've always been interested in owning something that differs from the everyday. That's why I have only ever owned imports. I chose a skyline because I liked the styling.

My father was the same, except he never got into the Japanese import scene. He has owned a couple of English imports over the years.

I'm already planning on a 2001+ Cima for my next car!

I've owned big blocks, rotaries, Oz sixes and nothing comes close to the handling, the revy power delivery, the cost of ...everything, the technical complexity, the use of japlish as a viable language in my home and the cop baiting presence of my R32 GT-R ;)

Plus I'm old and i remember watching these things dessimate the field at bathurst...and everywhere else

:D:(:(

So true

Skaify and Richo flogging all the other imports and locals....

Where's the "none of the above" in the poll?

- Owned an integra.

- Got hit hard in the side by a P plater not giving way when he was supposed to.

- Searched for an s14a to replace my baby.

- Found them all to be lacking.

- Found a stock'ish 33.

- Drove it.

- Bought it.

- Continuously modifying it. ;)

Always loved the shape, wanted another turbo car - had a 180sx, s4 rx7 & sr20det scorpion previously

Bang for your buck was high on the list, and to me its one of the most practical coupes around

i wanted a vl calais turbo for ages!!! and was going to build a full house one. i looked at a few and got turned of from how thrashed they were. So my brother pushed me towards a skyline, i have always loved them, so i baught one!!, never has died on me, reliable as all f***, handles great, response is great, and easy power!!

    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
