just wondering if someone has had the same thing happen to them

on start up thee is a strong fuel smell and when you look in the mirror

you can see fuel vapour comin out of the filler cap can someone give

me some advise on what or why and how to fix it

Sounds like your fuel-filler neck may need to be resealed.

I agree it's the common filler neck problem.Many have fixed it them selves , a search of previous threads will help you Cheers Humbla.

Yeah, happened here as well, ripped out the filler neck with pliers and resealed with sikaflex. Did the job well.

happened to me also, so i cleaned it and used sikaflex to re-seal it, worked great and havent had a prob since... good thing is sikaflex is cheap now

I got a jap filler neck without the thing to stop you using laded fuel

oh. its no longer needed by law to have the restrictor. as no leaded fuel is available.

Hey i have this problem too. I got told by another skyliner that the filler neck was put in upside down during compliance?? Or is it leakin?? How do i seal it up

Mine had a leak, when I filled it too much so it can also be the cap right?

has anyone else found that the metal anti-static ring in the neck has been cut by the compliancers? mine seems to have been butchered, and now that i got the restrictor out, i cant get it to fit in again

My compliencer stuck the right hand mirror with white glue which on a hot day melts down onto

the mirror they just make me sick.
