i believe normal r34s run H1s but for some reason mine run H3s....wats the issue here and do u no which i should use?

dude doenst really matter what bulb your car has just change it with the one thats in it

if it runs a H3 bulb change it to a H3 kit

you might have H3's as you might have the halogen headlight assemblies? Early on in the R34 compliance stage, the entire headlight assembly was being changed. Now they just modify the Xenon assemblies.

either way, unless i see some pics... R34 owners at least will prob be quite disappointed with any HID changeover.

You really need the OEM parts... but again, waiting on pics.

i hope i can count on u gohan to point me in the right direction with what kind of xenons i should get lol. i dont realli know why but i feel like H3s aint as good as the original h1s.....correct me if im wrong

you're wrong.

there is no different between the globe types, and what kind of light they produce.

if you had H3 in the left, and H1 in the right, you wouldnt notice a difference.

can u explain why they converted my h1s into h3s?

s15 run projector headlights, yes?

projectors have a nice clean cut off, and are best suited to Xenon bulbs. Hence 99% of factory Xenon headlights are put in projectors.

R34's have reflector assemblies. Do your headlights have the word 'Xenon' embossed anywhere?

When was your car complianced?

original globes wouldn't even be H1's. They would be like D2R Xenon bulbs. Originals weren't even halogen's.

nismos15, could you take a pice of your headlights pointing at a garage door or wall?

do you have any pics of this kit in a car without projector headlights?

i have seen the 2 bulbs together there is not much difference just that the part that the H1 bulb sits on is different to H3 one to fit different headlights but the light looks the same

im not to sure with the r34 headlights but if you like a h3 i can get one for you no probs

hey which ones do you have your s15? as gohan said the projectors have a nice clean cutoff, does this still apply with the xenons?

ie the light pattern on the road looks the same as normal globes, besides being brighter/whiter/etc of course?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
