got quoted $120 for standard R32 plush moulded carpet in I think about 8 different colours from a place in South East melb. They make em on the spot using moulds they've got... takes em about 15 mins to make one.

uhhh... looks like the standard carpet under your seats?

I think with the carpets from knox, they only mould them, and you have to cut them out yourself?

....this is based on "what I heard" so it's probably wrong :)

Are you able to confirm this either way Shan?

they trim to the size of their mould, which is usually about 1cm oversized. when you put it in your car you have to trim it to size using a heavy duty blade. The edging isn't really hemmed or anything, just like the original, as its all supposed to tuck in under trim panels and so on.

They do some in 2 pieces like the RX7, and some as singles.

This is awesome. I HATE the grey carpet and would love some black carpet.

Now, the original grey carpet looks like LOOP PILE. Should I get black in LOOP PILE or PLUSH PILE? I just want it to be black, super flat, thin, subtle and not in your face at all.

Looks like loop is flatter than plush but I'm really not sure based on the tiny images on their site. :P

OK I just called them and placed an order over the phone for mine.

Turns out they come in 2 pieces even though the R32 carpet is all 1 piece.

So since I have no rear seats due to my cage I just ordered the front piece in black plush. $95 + $25 delivery to me in Sydney.

Good stuff, hope it's not a pain to install... I'm crap at DIY!!! Thanks heaps Shan for the contact.

Justin yeah they do some of em in 2 pieces if its hard to mould them around seat mounts etc. The 2 pieces overlap under the front seat usually. That's strange they do the R32 in 2 pieces though.

As for getting straight black... i dunno if its such a good idea... i was considering it for mine, but the slightest bit of dust shows up on the black, wheras with grey its a lil harder to see.

Will not be posting pics. Spent some time today taking off the old carpet.

Removed seats, seat belt retainers, dead pedal and centre console/unit.

I had to slice the carpet underneath the centre console to get it out without taking the whole dash out. The R32 manual suggests to do so when removing and installing so phew to that, made it a lot easier.

Amazing what's under there (the plastic air vents which lead to the rear passenger foot wells are nuts). Can't quite take that off without taking off the dash so it stays. So much tar too. Damn can't be stuffed getting that off either!!!

Got the new carpet in, it's black, just the front half which stops just under the front seat. Looks absolutely amazing. Pics will follow.

Plushpile. It's moulded pretty well, came really quick to me in Syd. from Melb. (3 days), easy to cut (you have to cut out all the holes yourself). Lovelydubly!!! I'm stoacked!

hey justin... how'd you find the mould fit next to the trans tunnel on the driver side, just in front of the seat?

The GTR's and GTS4's have a lump there from the tunnel being wider for the front driveshaft... the GTS's and GTSt's don't have that lump... wonder if they have two different moulds or if its a negligible difference that it dosent matter?

If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
