Ok so who's available/keen on a Saturday day/night meet + photos. Some of you want to go to the drags (think that's Saturday) so we can split the day or you can all go to that together

I want to get photos of any colored cars during the day and probably black cars at night (as they look a bit better at night) but I will take photos of all the cars at both times

I've got a few little things to do saturday morning but will see what everyone wants to do then work out times

ok, I've downloaded Nissan Fast 2010. Callan, I understand that you were chasing it?

Its supposed to work with Windows 7 x64, but I haven't tried it yet. If it doesn't, I have a Virtual Machine built running Windows XP and Fast already installed that I am happy to copy over. All you need to do is download VirtualBox (free) and add the VM.

Happy to burn a DVD for either one.

I tried downloading it from a site that has some random skyline/Nissan stuff on it but it only partially downloaded every time I tried.

I'm not in desperate need of it but if it works on windows 7 64 bit I'd be happy to have it

It's very handy to have

So everyone sick of the Mackay thread? I'll just make it my own thread, with another Pic :)

I've got my fix of carbon fibre engine stuff now I think, taking votes on what to do with rocker covers - Paint them black or polish them/paint them silver

go

Edited by 89CAL

Yeah but I think polished will look alot better then black. Might just paint them a high gloss silver

I would paint them Cal, polishing sucks arse and it if you don't keep on top of it they go dull very quickly, unless you like polishing your engine every time it rains etc.

Paint it what ever colour you want, i don't mind the blue and silver, i done it on my mates R34 once and i'm about to do it to my other mates supra. Cusco Metallic Blue with Metallic Silver doesn't have to heat paint just prep it correctly and she will be all sweet. Having blue silicon hoses is a pain because a bright red engine with blue hoses it not nice it you know what i mean but i think the metallic silver and carbon will look good.

Here's a pic

Seeing this is a Mackay Car i'll post it. My mate Richard has been saving his hard earned coin for the last few years to build the ultimate street Supra 1998 model VVT-i and has entrusted me to beef up the power for him hehehe.... hopefully be punching out a nice 650-700rwhp in a month or 2. Mostly HKS gear in it and it will be getting tuned on Sucrogen E85 same shit the R32 runs and tuned by none other than Mr Mark Jacobson at Godzilla MS. Once the supra rolls out of the shed Kingy's R34 GTR will be coming in for a new and improved fuel system and a re-tune on E85 big numbers coming out of that thing hopefully.... R35 killer it will be can't wait.thumbsup.gif.

I remember when my HKS box rocked up, felt like Christmas all over again.

Hopefully the T04Z delivers more to expectations then my turbo did lol

I'm probably gonna go silver on the Cam covers to put a bit of contrast between all the carbon fibre surrounding parts. Will experiment over christmas anyway, have a month off to play around with the car, and I'll be respraying nearly the whole front end and maybe a few other things anyway so will have a play with the cam covers in between

The amount of boxes that arrives at our house every week, most people must think we do this shit for a living, lol just a weekend hobbie.

Wish i had a month off again to, keep chipping away at it Cal, it will look like a million bucks soon enough, it's hard to make a RB25 look nice.

    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
