O.K I'm after opinions on oil pumps for my car

Keeping in mind its mainly street driven, although I would like to take it to the drags a bit more and maybe one day go for a few laps of Willobank

Pump options: Jun, N1 + Billet Gears, Trust/Greddy, Nitto, Standard with billet gears.

Oil control: Rear head drain only, Rear Head Drain + oil restrictors (size? dependant on pump as well I guess), or just oil restrictors

Theres to many different opinions and Ideas on here to decide so after peoples opinions.

I dont want to spend rediculous money, its not a race car, but at the same time I dont want to cheap out.

Spool Head drain kit plus Tomei Restrictors, and for the oil pump just get a Nitto pump a JUN one will be expensive and i don't think they make them anymore or that could be HKS can't remember.

Was the Trust/Greddy pump i saw cheap, the JUN wasnt to bad off nengun but then I gotta pay for it to get shipped over

hey bud i've been living in mackay the last year now, just picked up my silver 350gt coupe 2 days ago from brissy and drove her all the way up here to home. Im nearly 100% sure its the only one in mackay, its also debadged so if you see me mate have a chat!

I finally got a chance to dyno tune my old setup, and fix up some issues with the previous tuners touch up. It only made 285rwkw before I fixed it up.

Once I got a hold of it, I fixed up the fuel and gave it a bit more timing. 4 degrees extra and it jumped 20rwkw.

Anyway, the torque was f**king awesome.

Ignore the drop off at the end - The straps on Clapos dyno are fairly buggered and the loosened towards the last 2-3 runs, and you could feel the car loosing load and dropping boost because of this. The earlier runs held the torque and boost to the limiter.

Anyway, here is the dyno plot. 820nm to the limiter feels very good under acceleration on the street. My mate is very happy with it.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
