Well, for your information, Nick that asshole started this from the word go. He started all of the nit picking, digs, and generally being an asshole over anything. I know my stuff, and I have repaired many dodgy tunes and slap shop work. I don't even own a shop and I've already got many people coming my way because they are getting blatantly ripped off by other so called professionals.

If Nick wants to keep bagging me for no good reason whatsoever, then I will return the favor. As I said, lots of people have all said that's the general attitude he has.

Jam it in your ass too Force fed. You'd feel that same if you has some high and mighty thinking asshole trying to run down your business.

Oh, and for your information to how petty this started, the wanker started paying me out for a joke I posted towards Ben and Kingy, and then started making fun about me being in an accident where a dickhead run a red light and nearly killed me.

From there, it just proved that Nick was just out to be a complete f**kwit.

All the way back on page 21. And then he just kept picking like a 11 year old. Hasn't stopped since.

I have seen Andrew give that car a hard time and it not respond.... Clutch kicking the f**k out of it and it falling off boost.... With the new turbo n tune. Explain that

Edited by dysonest

Upfront and says what he thinks? I don't see a problem with that..

So you're saying if he never met you, didn't know anything about you, but went around telling everyone that you are a wanker, out of jealousy, you'd be ok with that?

answer my question jono ??

Didn't see that - But, I will answer your question.

The Car comes on boost at around 4500rpm. Its laggy because its only a 1.8 litre engine, with a largish turbo on it.

Here is the other issue - The car is too noisy, due to the external gate and no exhaust silencing what so ever so I cannot put timing into it safely until I have the ability to listen for detonation. The car does not have a knock sensor kit, so I will have to do it on the dyno, with a knock sensing kit. He also said that he is going be quieting it down.

There is also one other issue - The cams. He has told me that you put 280+ sized cams in the car. This means the power band will be pushed up very high making the car even laggier. People need to understand the bigger isn't always better when selecting cams. I had 256 cams in the 3.0L and it cam on boost very early and was very smooth, no lag at all.

One last thing, I was asked to just get it going safe enough to race at the drift track so I did. Before, it wouldn't even start, then when it did, it wouldn't rev past 2,000 due to the timing being completely f**ked up. After Blocka flashed the ECU without backing up the existing tune, he lost everything. Then I was handed a tune that I was told you did. I put that in, then removed it after I saw it. It was atrocious. I still have a copy. It would most likely grenade the engine if used. I then started from scratch.

With all of the problems that car had, I wasn't taking any chances what so ever.

Leon's car went perfect on the drift day, and he'll even tell you that about all his cars, as will all of my customers.

im not calling u a wanker to anyone, and im not jealous of u at all... if someone asks me about u, all i say is i dont like u.

that motor has 270 degree pon cams... yes it will make the power curve higher but hello its in a drift car anyway ??

and what ever tune u got handed it wasnt done by me... i never touched any tune on that motor

yes leons car did run fine on the day, even though it was blowing flames on decel. its not hard to tune a car "safe"

Leon requested those flames, so I put them there.

And I forgot to mention, half way Andrew blew a turbo to manifold gasket hence the really bad lag issues.

Bug cams in a drift may not be an issue, but when in a small motor that struggles to make boost early, I would have went smaller for better drivability.

You say all this stuff about tuning, yet you've never done it before by the sounds of it.

i have f**ked around with the tune on my 34.... and its not rocket science

and drivability ? it shouldnt see south of 4k sliding anyway. only on a take off but a clutch kick is all thats needed to be on boost. if the tunes good and not overly fuely making it heavy to breath

Something interesting but last night I run into a small group of young fellas who actually brought you up in conversation pretty much straight away. (Ended up asking me for a tune too)

In their comments, you were definitely saying a lot more than you simply "not liking me". Actually, you talked a lot more shit.

This raises a couple of points.

First of all, they thought you were exactly what I said, negative, most likely jealous, and obviously deliberately trying to run me down due to some bullshit childish issue you have with me.

But my main point - You're a liar. So basically this removes any merit from anything you have said in this thread.

Now there is the possibility that you have lied to save face. And everyone knows that arguing with a liar is very much so a waste of time.

Here is an example, you just said you have f**ked with the tune in the Skyline. I've had three people on three separate occasions mention that you f**ked with that tune on that CA. And the tune that I have here, I can guarantee that a workshop would not do what is on this map. They would go bust within week if they pumped out tunes like that.

Anyway, lying about anything just to save face or to run someone down just makes you sink lower.

This is very poor form.

ur calling me a lair and u have NO proof at all.... i can say "i was talkin to 500 ppl last nite and they said u cant tune and ur a blah blah blah" and so this makes u a lair jono????...... a load of shit

unless u get them to actually tell me IN PERSON they were talkin to u and really think i am a negative person and for some reason jealous of u then how can i believe u ?? i cant

how many times do i have to tell u I NEVER TOUCHED THE TUNE ON THE CA.... i have on the skyline because i bought a wide band and datalog it.... plus i bought the 34 way after the CA was off the road. shit it was probly even in andrews hands by then. and i dont know who the "three" ppl u are talkin about are but obviously they are pissing in ur pocket.

It's all good Nick. I know not to believe you now.

And one good way of proving my point, when Andrews car was running like shit and he had to "clutch kick the f**k out of it" you went around telling everyone that the tune was shit.

When you only found out yesterday that he blew the shit out of the turbo to manifold gasket hence the lag issues.

Before it blew, the car was running great. I was there, I saw it myself. He just needs more practice at driving.

You're just another one of those guys who has or sees an issue and blames the tuner, without having a clue. You proved that yesterday. You really don't have a clue and just bag the shit out of people you don't even know. As I said, its a common jealousy thing.

he must have blew that gasket when his diff spat the crown wheel bolts then ?? because after he put a new hat on that diff housing it did nothing but run like shit...

and u provide a service to tune a car... if someone pays u for it then u have an obligation to get that car running great. regardless. and if u dont have a knock box then u shouldn't touch the car.

one thing ive learn is if u dont have the tools to do the job, ur work isnt gonna be good..... andrews tune = not good. plain and simple, get the correct tools so u can do the job properly and then i wouldnt have anything to complain about.

i work on cars everyday too, so im pretty sure i have some clue as to what would be wrong.... what do u do for a job ??

another mackay wannabe charging for half ass'd work. this towns full of them

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
