Shoot me down? Haha!

Coming from someone that provided a car that run like shit, had a f**ked head gasket from having too much timing in it, and was a complete mess?

Haha yeah you keep shooting me down.

So you're blaming me again?

I thought I just f**king sorted that.

f**k me.

The car wasnt f**king touched, by myself OR Nick. So how am I 'someone who provided a car that was running like shit'?

Riddle me that.

now you're trying to double it back on me so I 'fess up' and say I tuned it?

Well guess what, I dont even think the f**king vipec software is installed on my laptop, I didnt have a wideband at the time so how the f**k would I Have tuned it? I DIDNT. Simple.

Ok, so it wasn't you. I actually thought you were the person that tuned it because he did say it was tuned or worked on in townsville..

I don't even know you remember - Just like you don't even know me.

As I said, 1 workshop and a guy who does tuning outside of his normal work tuned the car. WE NEVER, ONCE TOUCHED THE FUEL OR IGNITION MAPS. We havent even plugged the flamin mongrel into my laptop.

I'm not blaming anyone.

You guys persist in saying how shit I am over something very petty. Nick even says that my tunes are shit because the intercooler pipes kept blowing off. lol!

But the car did come from you and Nick, so who knows. I guess me making these assumptions is no different from the ones you're making - You know all about me yet you're so far away and haven't seen a single thing. lol.

Yeah, good backing up, once again.

You have zero proof that nick or I even touched the ecu.

You're accusing me of 'supplying a f**ked car' and guess what I AM THE PERSON YOU'RE ACCUSING. I know what I supply, I know what I've touched, I know what I havent f**king touched. And that ECU is something I HAVENT TOUCHED.

You have to keep emphasising the fact that I'm "backing up" or that you're "shooting me down" to win your stupid argument.

lol.

I should start saying that...

I shot you down buddy... say I'm a bad tuner yet the car had so many issues... Tuning, mechanically, bad setup, f**ked turbo, f**ked wiring.. the list goes on.

Glass houses...

See bold, then see underlined

do you enjoy contradicting yourself?

I was merely talking about the tune... *yawn*

But I do not know what happened with that.. Could have been any one of you and you're just covering your asses. I have seen it many times.

I could point out other things... Like who puts 280+ cams in a car that can only safely rev to around 7500rpm? Nah, just rev the f**k out of it until it blows and sell it to someone. lol.

Glass houses...

Oh, and now you're using bold, underline, and larger text. wow. Talk about defensive about something.

I had nothing to do with the setup. Simple.

Believe what you want, You're throwing blame at me, and I'm here, The person you're blaming, silencing that. Why? Because I can. I dont tune, I have no f**king time for it with my own shit.

The only wideband I have, was bought late last year as a permanent install.

would definitely tune on a stock narrowband. cause that's smart!

It really sucks, this thread was going great until page 21. As soon as dysonest starting posting. He literally off the bat started the slander and trouble. Goes to show the type of person he is and how a select few of you follow like sheep. Its kind of depressing that people have nothing better to do than to run people down to make themselves feel better.

f**king disappointed. Everyone was having a decent yap about Mackay and imports without any trouble or slander what so ever.

And I admit that I shouldn't have reacted as bad as I did but after a while you just get pissed off from some asshole with a shit attitude and view on life and other people.

    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
