As the title says, my car just got bricked.

It's an MR30 skyline sedan.

I heard a wierd sound while I was sitting at my computer, so I went to go outside and have a look and heard a smash. When I opened the door I heard a shuffeling and I couldn't work out what was going on.

The police came around but chances are I reckon they wont be able to do anything about this. I don't really have many enemies so it sorta rules that out as a possible reason. I think.

The most anyone has ever really done before is slashed one of my tires, I reckon it's probably the same person. I hate this, if someone has a problem with me then they should just confront me instead of being a coward about it and striking when my back is turned. The reason why I think this is specific is because my tire was slashed and it has been slashed before.

On the otherhand, the pizza bar up the road got its window smashed like 10mins or whatever before mine got done so maybe this is random, or maybe a couple of guys are going around trying to dishout their own grade of retribution for small things that probably aren't even worth thinking about.

This sucks.

Man that's messed up. I had that sort of stuff happen around my way, so much so i'd tell all my mates to park in the driveway.. these days it's not so bad, but yes I understand how frustratrating it is when someone does something like that and there's nothing you can do about it.

Where you at if you don't mind me asking?

our next door neighbour grafitied our fence posts several yrs ago, and he said it wasnt him, but we knew it was, then 1 day we saw their bins n it had their street number in the same colour spray paint as was on our fence! hahahahhah busted...

Ya, what also sucks is that my insurance wont cover it. It's only 3rd party. I wish I had a garage.

Flinders park.

That sucks man! Had some little shits today near where I live throw something at my car as I drove past. I stopped, looked in the rear view mirror and saw the little coward start to shit himself. Did a u-turn, got outta my car and drilled him. Shoulda seen the look on his face :P His friends who were laughing when he threw what ever it was, distanced themselves from him and kept on talking to themselves like they didn't know the guy. When I asked him why he threw something at my car (turns out it was a rock - lucky he's a crap shot) he responded with "It's fun"

These idiots seriously have nothing better to do than destroy other peoples property, it's a sad world now where we have to watch our little toys 24/7 in fear of some jealous ingrate doing something to it

I'll be hitting up a wreckers. I'm using this an exuse to borrow some money off my parents so I can do it myself and then buy other shit for my project on the side. (which thankfully wasn't targeted, althought the front windscreen is already cracked on that car)

Maybe I should get two windscreens while I'm there, one for my norm car and one for my project. f**kit I'll prolly do that, though I wont be left with too much money remaining to get the other shit I'm after. I really need a house with a garage, just another excuse to move out after I sort my project car.

I really can't stand disrespectful people like this. It really is a satisfying to scare people shitless after they do things like this. It's too bad I couldn't see the f**kers. I think they must've had a get away car come to think of it. I remember hearing something take off abruptly.

yeah that sucks and if it had hit the car and u hit him your up for assault (assuming hes of the age for you to hit not older child)

or if it hit your car u chased him and HELD him to call the cops his parents would slap assault charges on you :) cant win

I know how infuriating this is. I went out 1 nite down Henley Beach way & left my car parked on the street. While I was gone some wankers felt the need to make a mess of my car by throwing an egg at it. Not only did it leave a mess it also shattered the paint where it hit, & I'd only had it resprayed less than 6 months before.

This is now going to be getting fixed up by Doyles' while the car is in there. But I swear if I caught the a#@h@*$s that did it, there'd be broken limbs.

Youth have nothing to fear when it comes to consequences so they have no respect, I'd love to show them what it means when someone doesn't respect them........

    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
