Joel wants to do a photo shoot at Deca for this magazine feature he's putting together, thats the only reason.

I was thinking last night that there are plenty of pics of the car so maybe we could just photoshop me into the picture for the purpose of the article.

I am going to ask uniquecarsales.com.au for some more cash to keep the unique carsales on the car but everything else can now come off. The Yokohama will stay on too.

I can't wait to have it back to normal, I'm really sick of not being able to drive it anywhere.

Just some highlights from my photos taken.

A lot of my shots came out really dark, just crappy lighting or the flash wasnt doing its thing, or maybe drunk operator. anyhoo

Congrats to everyone who participated and those who volunteered their time to help out where they could.

I had a ball as usual. Buggered but fun none the less.

In the end, the dyno awards went to:

CDUKTV - Toyota Supra - 742rwkw

RH9 - R34 Skyline GTR - 662awkw

Benny's 180sx - 481 rwkw

CDUKTV and RH9 will most likely be at Final Battle along with the current record holder which is a Supra built by Millenium Motorsport in Brisbane which made 748rwkw on the gas to compete for the grand trophy.

It was only 18 months ago that 604awkw was the record. How times change...

Also congrats to SAU-VIC who scored a runner up trophy in one of the club categories.

Phew, i was gonna change my mind at the last minute and paint my 33 same colour, ive already "copied" your kit luckily i didnt do the same with the paint!! :)

Your car used to be silver yeah?

MissyK, is your car the RX8 with the EZZY plates? Any relation to the Astina?

Man i loved that car back in the day!

My rx8 is the red 1 with MISSSK.

EZZY plates on the orangy RX8 belongs to Ezzy Astina's owner :O

Yep yep, hes my best mate. He couldnt make it this weekend, hes back in Syd, so I had fun with his car. His astina still exists... in bits and pieces in his garage :)

MissyK owned the red RX8 next to the EZZY RX8. The EZZY car is owned by a good friend of hers.

And yea, the same EZZY as with the astina back in the day.

sorry John, just saw ur reply lol

Ezzy nowadays is my 'advisor' hahahhaha

In remembrance of EZZY ASTINA, we put the EZZY plates on the 8 :)

Thanks to all involved for a superb weekend. Ash for organising along with Paul for his help also. Scott for the sign boards (that I am happy to spell check for you next time mate :))

All in, a great weekend with lots of laughs and Brisby as usual being the icing on the cake :)

    • Can u check this way it works for power supply?
    • These coils draw 10amps that what i read online
    • I appreciate the detailed explanation, think I understand now. I spent the better part of last night reading what I could about shuffle and potential solutions. I had replaced the OEM twin turbo pipe with an alternate Y pipe that is separated further away from the turbo. The current one is from HKS and I had a previous pipe that was separated even further away, both have shuffle. I had heard that a divider can be welded in to the OEM pipe to remove turbulence, and figure that aftermarket pipes that are more separated would achieve the same thing. From what I read, most people with -10 turbos get shuffle due to their size, though it's a bit less common with -5s on a standard RB26. I think Nismoid mentioned somewhere it's because OEM recirculation piping is common in Australia with -5 cars. It seems that the recommendation tends to vary between a few options, which I've ordered in what I think is most feasible for me:  1. Retune the MAP or boost controller to try to eliminate shuffle 2. Install OEM recirculation piping 3. Something called a 'balance pipe' welded onto the exhaust manifolds. I don't know if kits for this are available, seems like pure fabrication work 4. simply go single turbo My current layout is as follows: Garrett 2860 -5s HKS Racing Suction intake MAF delete pipes HKS racing chamber intake piping hard intercooler piping,  ARC intercooler HKS SSQV BOV and pipe Haltech 2500 elite ECU and boost solenoid/controller HPI dump pipes OEM exhaust manifolds HKS VCAM step 1 and supporting head modifications Built 2.6 bottom end All OEM recirculation piping was removed, relevant areas sealed off I'll keep an eye out for any alternative solutions but can get started with this.  Only other question is, does shuffle harm the turbo (or anything else)? It seems like some people say your turbo shafts will explode because of the opposing forces after a while and others say they just live with it and adjust their pedal foot accordingly.
    • That worked out PERFECTLY! Thank you big time to JJ. He was able to swap me his stock diff. He drove all the way to me as well. Killer! Removal & install was pretty straightforward. The diff itself is HEAVY. So that’s a 2 man job.  Man does the car drive nice now! Couldn’t have worked out any better 👌
