sorry about this (probably been asked a million times) can any fellow brisbane owners recommend a good garage who could set my coilovers up for me..

although im no stranger to the odd bumpy ride the coilovers on my 32 just seem to be getting harder and harder and as the fiance has started using it to go work im getting a bit of earache about it :yucky:

fulcrum are probablly the best in Brisbane for advice and service... They generally have everything on hand but the down side is their waiting cue if you want them to do the work...

As for price i think their products are reasonable, not cheap but not expensive either...

i can't stand fulcrum...

they've ballsed-up every one of my wheel alignments that i've had done there, they're lazy, don't do work properly (i.e. telling me they can't get over 3 degrees of positive caster on the front, when i have adjustable caster bushes and should be able to get up around 9 degrees positive - they're just too lazy to do it), they charge through the arse, they try and wring every last cent from you in saying "this needs replacing, so does this" etc when they DON'T.

I 2nd Ken at Accurate Suspension...had work done by him before and couldn't be happier. That said, what kind of coilovers do you have? or are u looking at buying some? If you have high spring rates, then u won't have much luck anyway with whatever settings that are dialled in.

I used to be a huge fan of fulcrum.. Until I used them.

They smashed up the underside of my car and couldn’t care, had a whinge my coilovers have no travel and are not legal and said they wont work on my car unless its legal height.

Not to mention, they didn’t pick up on my car having adjustable camber arms and were quoting a ridiculous amount for custom made items.

I’m sure they are great for basic set ups… Anything else I’m sceptical now

My 2 cents :yucky:

fulcrum are good if you buy the products they want you to buy. If you dont want the setup they want to sell you there generally not that helpful.

to add as an example they told me tein suspension is more expensive than imported japanese brand coilovers because theve been modified to australian roads. That japanese coilovers are too stiff for australian roads and wont last. First i thought well thats dumb because i want stiff suspension and then secondly i was driving on japanese made suspension already caust it was a japanese car :S

BINGO!

Fulcrum used to be the suppliers/distributors for Whiteline....

then they started their own range of products called Superpro, and they have their own springs (which are just re-sprayed/rebranded King Springs anyway) - they do not like working on my car because it has all whiteline gear, they even flat-out refused to install some of it, and said i should buy their stuff instead.

well thanks for the input guy's

but again were is "accurate suspension" located?? the coilovers are already on the car they have been since i bought it , i just want them set up better

JICs are notorius for being kidney shattering hard...so it would be a waste of time trying to adjust the settings. You are better off selling it and buying something with a softer spring rate like the Tein Super Streets or Bilstein whiteline suspension package.

I had JICs in my silvia and the main reason for my bad back now...
